I agree that Silsbee is head and shoulders better than everyone else. WOS has the best chance at getting a win vs them but they will play at Silsbee so I don’t see that happening.

it will be a dog fight for 2-4. LCM and OF both have to play at WOS so that is an advantage. LCM also has to play at OF. We will see if Lumberton can upset any of the top 4 to get into the mix. Also, can BC or Vidor possibly spoil someone’s playoff spots.

I don’t think LCM beat WOS when the big kid was playing. I also think that Lumberton was missing some of their better guys and their coach when LCM played them.

6 games for everyone to go. Let’s see who can put together some kind of a streak.

Lumberton has been missing guys all year, post player is still trying to play with one arm and has been doing descent, pretty impressive.

Lumberton struggling a little bit without their 6'6 D1 player? Who knew...

lumberton’s best overall player who’s a post has played in 3 games all year and other post player has played in 1 game all year. Those 2 guys are pretty good athletes and you can tell it has  hurt them not having that size like they normally do

Mitchell loses four starters and wins the district last year.  He loses a division one player and immediately blasts a team that is in the playoffs every year.  When Green, Boutte, or Sigler retires, those schools need to call this cat.  He just gets it done.  Silsbee better watch out for Lumberton.

    That’s just one game

Larry Haynes was 45-41 at Hardin. I just looked it up. While that is indeed winning, I would consider it being very successful by any stretch of the imagination. More or less playing .500 ball. Sounds to me like it might be time to introduce a new gene pool at Hardin

Well.. it doesn’t hurt that the 8th grade has a pretty good kid taking snaps.  It’s Barrier’s son for those that don’t know.  Keep blaming him for varsity losses lol.  He’s liable for to take that QB son of his the hell outta there.. and who would blame him.  Then where are you?  Same old Hardin… expecting championships within a year or two with kids that have never won.  Kids that don’t do what it takes to win. In a school that I don’t even know whether or not has even won a football playoff game.  You Hardin fans sound like you expect to be as good as HD thinks they are.  Maybe you should consolidate the two schools.  Then we’d at least only have to deal with one set of delusional fans.

    Larry Haynes won at hardin

When you have 6-8 kids show up for summer workouts on the varsity you don’t expect much, JH Kids have bought in 30-40 kids at works outs and it shows.
Hardin 8th Grade is 5-0, Hardin 7th Grade is 4-1 kids have bought into the program. you have to build a program from the bottom up & barrier is doing a fine job.

Hes won 2 games, this is his second season how many games did he win at his previous school? He better win varsity football games that’s what matters you don’t get fired for losing middle school games. If the kids aren’t  playing hard that’s on the head coach, you should make progress throughout the year and they aren’t, hence Kountze they have gotten better since game 1.

If you drop HJ or Huffman in the district with Silsbee, Lumberton, WOS, LCM and BC they would be in a dogfight with the Tigers for the top spot. I’ll definitely be checking out the HJ vs Silsbee game this year in Silsbee. Depending on the playoff brackets both of these clubs could easily be in the regional tournament. I still have HJ as the favorite in that district. They’ll have to win an important game on the road to win it outright but that’s a definite possibility.

Word on the street Lumberton has a lot of players hurt from football season who will start on the basketball team.
