No other team argued. I would be the same with ANY team. Ned, Vidor, Central, KP, doesn't matter. Maybe because I replied several times to comments on my comments you got it misconstrued. Like I said though, I won't be commenting on anything related to what happens in this district with any team Crosby will or might face. I'll post our kids' recruiting information with NO comment, I'll post in the college forum, and I'll post when Lil'14 gets his first offer. Other than that I'll just read the high school forum like everyone else on here from Crosby does. Rather you know it or not, the main reason I follow individual stats is because recruiters do too. Not because I give the slightest d*&% about what happens in Dayton, TX.

You should choose McBride, he's y'all guy. Everybody else would choose the kid who's never missed a start and consistently produced. McBride is tiny even compared to my little Cougar. We'll see if he make it through the season this time though. Losing your best player hurts EVERY team, that's why he's your best player.

But I thought the RB was the better of the two and if SC quit playing teams like South Houston maybe they would've been battle tested...SC reminds me of the Pacers great in regular season but disappear in the playoff!!!

Don't make it out like you don't hate Dayton as much as Dayton hates Crosby. You are 99% of the reason everyone on here blast Crosby. And as for the media picking teams from around here to do anything? News flash. We aren't in the Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, area. I don't recall Dayton getting much hype from the Media when they went to state in 08. Heck Beaumont probably gave Dayton more time in the media than Houston did.  

QB this past year will be a Sr. Justin Harper...who is a heck of a receiver as well. The young man you are probably referring to that will most likely step in is Grayland Arnold. Arnold will be a Jr. this coming year...very fast and can make you break something trying counter his moves. I watched my dad coach 5-A highschool football for years and then played my fair share and I have never seen a kid move like this kid...when he changes direction its so fast and explosive that you ask "did that just happen"?   

it wont be an upset, Dayton football program > Crosby football program. Until Crosby develops the concept of this thing called DEFENSE they wont sniff a state title game as Dayton did several years ago.

Lol, we need a little Silence at Ozen under the circumstances surrounding the District. It's time for our kids to focus & handle their Business & let the Adults properly handle theirs. It will be nice to get back to Football though.

Those young Raiders will show great improvement. Rally the troops Hippy to go out & support these young men. I promise they won't disappoint. Remember growth isn't measures in wins/losses, it is measured in heart & character. I truly believe what these young men have endured the past few seasons in the program has prepared them for Greater things in LIFE. Not many want to play for a Team that hasn't won any games, but these kids have shown commitment & dedication; if Coach carefully handles things, the "No Quit" attitude will filter down to the lower football levels & Lumberton won't have to endure anymore winless Seasons. I Salute you Raiders for showing up in the face of adversity. The Bible says the meek shall inherit the Earth.

If you get thrown from the car in a violent wreck, what are the chances of your glasses being intact on your face with the lady in morgue taking them off your body? IMO, this wasn't scary enough. You need to scare the living mess out of them. Not all kids drink, do one about texting and driving also.

Coach Suggs is a good coach and will do a good job.

Coach Suggs had nothing to do with the non-success of the Lee program. Not enough "Larrys and Joes". The problems at G Ball were way beyond his control.
 
Coach Suggs is a good man and a good coach. Get on board with him and see what happens.

It's hard for a ship to reach the dock on it's own and now Ozen has a Captain with experience. Now a Captain is no good without a ship to guide and Ozen has talent, despite what some may believe they have some big bodies that have to be developed and if he can get some out on the field from the hallways then he should be just fine. His crew members must be able to support him and develop the players. It's not all impossible to have success this year but a lot of things will have to fall in place real soon. Good thing is, is that, it's not Suggs 1st rodeo and I say Panthers will be solid this coming year because he will hold everyone accountable for being the best they can be. JMO ;)

I think some people are not looking at another possible angle here. Coach Strong has some interesting but proven motivation tools. Maybe he did this to get the kid to man up and become the player he should be. Might have every intention to sign the kid but decided to use some tough love to get him motivated. Just an opinion, but could be a reason. Heck, he wont even let his current team show the hookem sign until they prove to him they are worthy of Longhorn football. Even the starters.

I noticed of the five starters whom you feel couldn't start at Central, you left 1 name off. We aren't supposed to mention names, but you know who I'm referring to. Not only would he start @ Central, there are a few others he would star at. My Wife spoke with Toby @ the Board Thurs night. Even he knows. If Suggs gives him the ball, the new 20 4A will feel the pain; I Guarantee it. Good luck on the upcoming Season Jags. This will be the end of the road for a lot of the kids we saw grow up right before us from all area Schools. I'm pumped up already. Time to see what the future holds in the Spring

Why does WB have twice the enrollment of Ozen, why not have the enrollment numbers closer from school to school, and have all 3 schools competeing in the same district.

Boyd, Randle, Tyler, J. Brown, & Smith could all start at their positions at Central. Ozen doesn't have depth but, are as talented as any team in this area.

At the end of the day, it's still about blocking and tackling.  With the talent that Ozen has year in and year out, fundamentals should be the main focus.  You should run as many plays as you can run to perfection and not one more.  

If he is gonna try to play a sport at the next level, it's gonna be at football.  And I think he probably knows that already.  Doesn't matter which one he loves more.  JMO

I agree 100%. I pray we get a Coach for the Future of Ozen football. My son will be a Senior next season, there won't be time to focus on these kids. I totally understand that; but he has been prepared for these situations & has a support system at Home. What pisses me off is some of these kids don't have that, but their parents entrusted "you" to teach their kid football, some ethics, & some life lessons. You failed miserably &. Now our kids Suffer. How can you look the Seniors & Seniors to be in the eye? Too many times we Hire Coaches, I don't want a Coach, I want a difference maker on & off the field; someone that actually cares. My son has a Father he sees everyday, but I'm not ignorant to the fact that it takes more than me to raise my child, he needs Role models all day long. Kids spend more time at school during the year than they do at home, so it's important to surround the kids with influential people of Character. As a volunteer Coach, I have an obligation to every kid I come in contact with to Teach him/her the game of basketball, but more importantly the game of Life. Every kid can't play for me because I say what I mean & mean what I say. Ain't no BS with me, but the kids respect that & appreciate the Honesty. Im not perfect & never will be, but I strive to be. CAN YOU?

Ha, Haaaa, I am all of the above and then some! I can even pop popcorn for you on Friday nights so you can better enjoy those corny jokes! Let's just say that I had the pleasure of helping some of these players development at one point and time and simply wish them the best. As for coaching, some of the best coaches never played the game as well as some of the best critics!
