Easy to say he's a 5-star??? The last time I checked, there are 5-stars in all classifications. You mentioned that the rankings are not accurate. That's the opinion of all parents and kids who are not ranked. Deionte is 6'2, 180. I promise you he can go to any program in SETX and do what he has done ever since he was a sophomore. Im not trying to scare you ! HJ has made such strides to turn their program around that I thought you would not represent them in the manner in which you do. From what I can see everything about HJ is pretty darn classy except you.

Hey everyone, regardless of Escambia's woes this was a good trip for the team and a good trip for the fans. I personally appreciate Florida for asking us to come and hopethey return the favor next year. Despite whether they did those things or not, the baby Pirates held their own and out played them from the 9:00 mark of the second quarter. I got to watch my football team grow a little. Everyone's record is 0 - 0 until district starts. Thank you Pensacola Escambia for having us.....you were great hosts. And, please come toTexas next year, we owe you something.....

Carol City aint like it was when I was in high school. The West is good, but not elite like in the 2000s either. Right now it's all about Central and Booker T. Washignton. But I would love to see one of the Miami schools come to play the Titans

Yeah it did. The games that normally played but not counted on the record are what Texas would consider scrimmages. Florida calls them Kickoff Classics.

I think that the Central players should have shaken hands, but the fact that they didn't doesn't mean anything more significant than the fact that they didn't shake hands. If Neil or anyone else really did call them thugs or anything like that, I absolutely see why Jacquet got mad. It wasn't that serious. They're not the first team and not the last to do it. I saw Central and West Brook players telling each other good game on Twitter last night. It was a pregame intimidation thing maybe, I don't know. But I don't think anyone should be reprimanded because that guy took it too serious.

1) I didn't write the post and I still don't think them not shaking hands was that big of a deal.
2) The story probably doesn't become as big if Mr. Neil doesn't decide to write what he wrote.
3) Even if I did write it, sometimes we have to put things up that people want to read.

What happened in those past years is irrelevant to this year. West Brook won by 6. There was no, "owning," there last night.

Obviously i write.for PA News. I'll admit in public Avi and David both do great work. Being in this biz now for 14 years here the BE is covering the best they can just like we do. Folks the newspaper biz, and tv media too, is not as easy as going to a game once a week. Its all time consuming. Plus pay is crap and we face lot of difficulties school districts face as an example. You readers want same coverage we gave you 20 years ago and we try.hard to do it but with staffs maybe 1/3 the size. Avi first is not a se texas guy. Many of us vets here grew up here. So we attack our jobs tad different. Now I'll openly admit too avi does things that make me grind me teeth but i respect hes doing his job the best he knows how. I know i could tweet more. I lack in that but i try to make up for it in stories i know people personally say they like the style of. Who's right? Who's wrong? Man thats a matter of opinion but in avi's defense he gets paid to share his openly. Its a thing we do as writers and sometimes it isnt the popular thinking. Ok im done lol

Miami Central cranks out RBs going back to the days of Willis McGahee... big win for them, I'm sure they'll improve as the season progresses

I was impressed at how Memorial responded to getting hit in the mouth early on. They settled into the running game starting with the 3rd series and then they picked up steam. Kadon Harrison was solid, made a couple of pretty nice intermediate throws. Travon McClain looks like he'll be their No. 1 receiver. Even the 3rd RB Marcus Younger broke off 
 
The defense struggled at first but made good adjustments against a huge OL for Atascocita. Really good test for Memorial going into the season.

I think the Richmond George Ranch and PNG games should present stiff tests. Non-district obviously but still...
