The most talented two teams (and the best two teams for most of the year) are playing now. And I think the committee can tell all the naysayers to kiss their behinds after tonight.

I thought about that too. I certainly don’t judge these kids for sitting out lower type bowl games like the Alamo Bowl to not risk injury. But I wondered if Roschon could have helped his draft stock by playing. I have no idea but I definitely think he’s got an nfl future.

Anyone watch that game thinking of Les Miles? Kansas vs Are-Kansas. That game was proof we do NOT have too many bowl games.

Hated the Steelers but always respected Franco. Really miss the League and how it was back in that time. Not many, if any, Roger Staubachs and Tom Landrys around these days…

I would say -11 or 12 or Furr and -6 or 7 to BTW. But just my 2 cents. AAW is much better at this sort of thing than I am.

Furr upset BTW by 1 point on a really off night for the Eagles (not that off nights are super rare for Booker T). Tap the breaks on Furr being the “school to look out for.” They may be much improved but they still lose 8 or 9 times out of 10 to BTW imo.

Shame on Yates. Knew the Bears were about the hand them their behinds so they no show after LCM traveled to play them twice?? And where are the few JY sympathizers who love to roam this board when the Lions are in peak form? No showing seems to be a pattern over there. That’s a bad trait to carry through life by the way…. What a horrible message to send to kids.

Booker T is the flavor of the month in HISD. Once McDermott graduates next year, my guess is Jack Yates will return and land the best recruits again.

And Tech needs to pay that man’s widow the money he was owed or suffer a curse that rivals the Bambino’s. Time to right a wrong that should have been done while he was alive.

Man thanks for sharing that. Hadn’t seen it before now. I swear each Coach Leach story is better than the one before it. What a character. What a legendary human being.

That was exactly my reaction. But let’s see if they can’t get the win anyway. And regardless, that’s why Coach Sig schedules these games I’m sure. Little chance anyone pushes them to OT in district, so these close games are invaluable in prepping for a playoff run.

Prayers for a speedy recovery.

As long as you don’t catch BTW when everyone is “on” for them, they shouldn’t beat Silsbee or a team of that caliber. Most HS teams are inconsistent but they are WILDLY so. And the problem is when someone is off, they are going to continue to show you how off they are. If all pistons are firing though, they can play with anyone. I would think Silsbee beats them 8 or 9 out of 10 times.

And I would have needed most of those points lol.
