  1. I have zero doubt YOU can WATCH a kid over the course of a game and have a very good idea what kind of player he is. I also know you have seen this kid several times. I have seen him many times against VERY elite competition (> “big 3”). However, not every poster has your basketball acumen. And I got news for him/them, by the end of the summer, this “ok player” is going to add to that list of high D1offers. Because he can play.
  2. Good to hear. And agreed, this is gossip of the worst kind.
  3. I wondered the exact same thing lol
  4. As someone whose wife is a school teacher, parents not being involved with their child’s academic performance is as common as the reverse. In fact, more common with students who perform poorly (shocker!).
  5. Correction: Remaining 4 are home vs BC, at OF, at Silsbee, home vs LCM.
  6. As I understand it, the Mustangs now sit at 0-6 with games remaining against Silsbee, LCM, OF and HF. I don’t get it either AAW. I know several schools (including Silsbee boys and OF) have both had major players that had to miss multiple games over the past few seasons. It seems to me there shouldn’t be such a lapse in communication.
  7. Like HS and sneaker circuit. Agreed.
  8. Soulja ran his mouth for weeks about him being overrated while admitting he’d never seen him. Then he finally sees him and opines he’s an “ok player.” The circus isn’t the only place to see a clown. Textbook example of the old adage - better to remain silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt...
  9. Very true. And even more amazing is some could have played a different sport at the next level.
  10. I can promise you mine do because there are benefits or consequences depending on what those grades are. And I’m not talking about failing either - I can’t imagine teetering on being ineligible as an athlete and not knowing exactly where I stood and what I needed to do to pass. BUT I do realize that sadly in this day and age, that is probably the exception to the rule. But it’s still incomprehensible to me. Grades are available at the click of a mouse. In our day, a parent had to call or go to the school if they wanted to find out if we were lying to them about a grade or a class. Now all the parent has to do is pull out their smartphone....
  11. You read my mind. Short read, but nonetheless... and I’m with WOSgrad. Poor #1 seed from other district.
  12. Both would be huge gets for the Jacks. IMO, both are talented enough be really good D1 players. Also helps they both have good size for their positions. Crazy to see a school Silsbee’s size having probably at LEAST 3 D1 players, and another high major D1 if you count Barnes for football.
  13. I noticed that with Devon before the game. Thought his jumper looked different/better.
  14. Really like the way Jordyn is attacking the basket. He’s a difficult assignment when he’s aggressive like that. And I think Braelon missed a total of 2 shots in the two games against Orangefield.
  15. Silsbee 82 OF 53 F Corrected score @WOSgrad
  16. Silsbee 65 OF 33 End 3
  17. Silsbee 41 OF 24 H Silsbee closes half on 17-4 run
  18. Silsbee 21 OF 12 End 1
  19. OF JV 55 Silsbee JV 34 F
  20. By the way, when we make fun of aggy moral victories, Mack is on the poster...
  21. I thought MAYBE they would be able to resist the douchebaggery of posting this when both their teams took big Ls. But alas no, the “we suck but our conference mates are good” mentality prevails. Smh. Raise your hand if your school won yesterday? (Another game against the SEC, another W, while another team proved it still can’t win in the Big XXII.)
  22. This one better be “dreaming” with one eye open for awhile: [Hidden Content]
  23. One of the best.
