Yes averaged a triple double and she is probably a little bitter than Alexis Morris was at the same age and she finished at around 15-20 in most national rankings. Would’ve been the best varsity player on every girls team in the Golden Triangle. Ashlon Jackson is her name. Pushing 6’0 and is a guard. She’s fun to watch. 

From what I've heard the best 8th grade basketball player in SE Texas is actually a girl at Hardin Jefferson. Don't know the young ladies name but I hear she is already getting serious attention from the top women's D1 teams in the nation. 

Selling the naming rights makes the most sense IMO. I’m sure there are plenty of people in setx that would be willing to pay a pretty penny to get their name on that stadium. I’ve never heard of anyone complaining about having too much money, even if the district isn’t in dire need of it. 

I think you’re mad at the wrong people. Be mad at the old people in Sour Lake who don’t want to pay $14 more a year in taxes so we can have nice things.
• Can’t host track meets bc of the condition of the track
• Can’t host tennis tournaments because of the condition of the tennis courts
• Can’t play JV baseball games because there are no lights 
All of this would have been taken care of in the last bond that the District, that you’re so mad at, proposed. The people voted against it. Get out and campaign, and educate people on the bond and maybe next time this bond is proposed, people will actually vote for it.

Jason Persohn had 28 in this one. Saw he had the first 10 points against Silsbee. The boy can play! IMO he’s a Super Gold candidate. Best of all he’s showing up when the games matter.

Taking over when the pre recorded national anthem had technical difficulties was pretty cool on their part.

I think this years team was their best team. Even though I know that Devon, Jordyn, Bush, and Chris Martin are going to be animals 2019... I do not see them being as deep and complete as this years team. I still say they win at least 1 more but probably two.

]Wrong Jim Undiscovered if you're referring to me Pomirko.  I dont give a damn who they play. I love Friday nights and I love watching kids compete and come together for one goal. So unless there is another Dad named Jim you're referring to with a Senior, you got me confused. 

I even think my exact words were... no one in silsbee's district will beat them the next 5 years lol. So I would still be on track so far. I also said they would have at least two state championships within the 5 year period. Hopefully this year is the 1st

Hardin should NEVER be on HJ's schedule. Under no circumstances should that happen. For a 4A coach to schedule this game against Hardin is an embarrassment to him and his program. It's a lose-lose situation for HJ. If they win they get nothing out of it whatsoever, except a W in the win column that isn't even respectable. If they lose it's an, even more, embarrassment for losing to a below average small school. This game should have never been scheduled in the first place. It seems to me that the only person scared in this situation is the one looking to beat up on a smaller school to make his record look better, rather than playing better competition to prepare his team for games that actually count.

If Hardin is going to drop this game, H-J does have an option.  They can call their old coach Dwayne DuBois at Bridge City as they would have that week open (or at least they did last season).
