For the most part, this example is the exception and not the norm. I like the top 2 teams in each district advancing.

Maybe, but at least they feel better about themselves. Isn't that what athletics is about? Feeling good.

[/quote] There is no "measuring stick" for AD selections. It is simply a nomination and a vote. Most votes wins. Scorekeeping is such a subjective endeavor in high school baseball, you can not go by the "stats" provided. (Think Little League "inside the park homerun", but not [b]quite[/b] as bad.) Until the UIL requires an official scorekeeper, that's the way it's going to be.
