Barnes Not Interested
Monday, March 19, 2007
SPOKANE, Wash. — Forget any of those rumors that Texas Coach Rick Barnes may be headed to Kentucky if the Wildcats fire Tubby Smith.
"I don't want any other college job," Barnes said after his fourth-seeded Longhorn team was ousted from the NCAA tournament in the second round, thrashed by fifth-seeded Southern California 87-68.
Smith's Cats fell to Big 12 champion Kansas 88-76 in a second-round game Sunday in Chicago, and many wonder if athletic director Mitch Barnhart might make a change after a couple of statements of questionable support the last two weeks.
If Smith were dismissed after 10 years that included a national championship in 1998 but no Final Four appearances since, he could be approached by Michigan. His contract calls for a large buyout that one source estimated at $5 million.
"We love our jobs here," Barnes said. "I'm not thinking about going anywhere."
theres a lot of rumors about them nabbing gillespie from TAMU. Don't believe them though, because he just bought a bung of land right outside of College Station to build on, AND recruited a heck of a class for a coach who is leaving...

i remember every wb game from my senior year (because wb was actually killing people!)
but most of all was my last one against katy- when we pulled up, our bus had to zig-zag through the tailgating tiger fans, then we went into a packed stadium...i felt like i was playing the superbowl or something. it was nuts!
but we lost

Nice... I was getting recruited by TCU for a while after there kicker died last year but chose soccer over football.
jsmity...i have spent many minutes of practice in a 3 point stance waiting for you to get one through the uprights...lets not lie to everyone :
;D

Might wanna give Coach Thompson a call (PAM) I know PAM is very well known for the big horses in the trenches ;D
big horses is all they are-
i believe this father is looking for his son to be able to move and block someone besides the guy in front of him
for strength and agility-find dan kroesch(spelling?)
for footwork- nobody can beat frank middleton and joe bowser
-
I CAN!
;D ;D ;D

haha man oh man do i love how everyone picks only the rbs from THEIR schools.
michaels and williams are the best. period. and if you wanna talk numbers...then double theirs because they shared time all year, and shared plenty of yardage with joe chaisson
oh yeah- they play against 5a defenses as well (which means the linemen, backers and dbs are bigger and much faster)
;D

Central/Brook...They was puttin a whippin on us for a while, till we served a 56-0 shutout. ;D ;D
can we say idiot?
i was at west brook during the craig stump turnaround, and although central has been doing quite well in their own district, they are quite a ways from west brook. Wb wishes BISD wouldt force them to play ozen and central becuase they dont want their "rivals" to be 4a schools. Brook gets more from losing to quality 5a schools than spanking area 4a schools

did anyone else notice that jay bruce is playing spring ball with the big club?
How many guys can bench 300 lbs?

but oh yeah...300 isnt all THAT uncommon at wb...when i was there the weakest lineman did 285 and we had a few backs and linebackers that were at or near 3 as well
right now...the strongest bruin is michael zock...who pretty mcuh plays around with 300 (seriously he reps it like its light)
BUT i am a whole year removed so what do i know?
