  1. he's just testing the waters...but here are a few thoughts:

    1. him and his mother are quite poor, so money could look great

    2. He was at aTm with gillespie...his stock may go down without the attention gillespie brings

    3. he has tendonitis in both knees, so he may want to make his money while he still can

    and why he might stay:

    1. his momma and him want him to get that degree

    2. he is the team captain, and knows it

    3. he is a hero in aggieland

    4. sweet 16 just isnt good enough to quit on

honestly, this is up in the air- nomatter what he does he has the aggie's support and will be great

  2. my senior year john falgout got an interception and on the return a reciever tried to tackle him...i don't know how to put pictures up, but there is one of john running and all you can see is someone's feet straight up in the air

biggest one I have been involved in...ozen's Mack Randall was a little mad because we had been throwing him around all game, so he came and ear-holed me like 8 seconds after a play while i was standing there with my center- didn't really hurt, and didn't get called by the refs, but I now know that even I can fly

  3. Get your facts correct... Obviously you did not go to Reed... He did not accept the job until late last night, he had already contacted his players prior to accepting the job offer, henceforth Turgeon=awesome, BCG= The Devil.... Why dont you just move to Lexington if you are stuck so far up BCG's butt... He's gone, and we have a new coach, I could care less if BCG's name is never mentioned again...

i WAS at reed thank you very much, and still knew he was coming to aTm yesterday around 2:15...

IM not stuck up BCG's butt...it just blows my mind why we all hate someone who put us on the map for reasons that he couldn't control

  4. Glad to see he has some class and will meet with his players... He was on campus today visiting the University.. I will be there loud and proud at Reed tomorrow... WHOOP!

ok i will say again...we have known that turgeon is the man since yesterday afternoon...therefore his players most likely found out yesterday as well...ON ESPN

why is he classy, and BCG is suddenly the most hated man in the world?

  5. First and foremost i'm a fan of all Texas scools, but it looks like the shoe is on the other foot here.  I remember a certain current football coach at Aggieland abruptly leaving his previous school without talking to his players as well.  I do not remember the negativity displayed towards him by the Aggie faithful at that time.  We all know what they say about Karma.

cha ching! I am a diehard Aggie, but also a pretty big fan if TCU, and I know that Fran left them high and dry MUCH MUCH worse than BCG did. He simply did not show up to Spring practice one day

  6. Lonestar, you mean about how the other guy is claiming self defense and plans to sue  for being attacked?  I read about that on TexAgs.  I lived right down College Main, I can't believe this happened right there.

my dorm is right across the street...and I am still kind of shocked...I've been on Northgate many many times, and have never been threatened in any way- this is a horrible horrible thing

p.s. 12 total stab wounds is a little more than self defense...especially by a US marine who has been trained in HAND to HAND combat

  7. guys- I know aTm has taken a huge blow, and will miss Gillespie very much, but honestly- why the hostility?

Why are we mad at the man who came in to the laughing stock of NCAA basketball and turned it into a legitimate contender in 3 years?!?!?  I wouldn't mind all the anger if he didn't have his reasons to go...but KU is pretty much the pinnacle of college basketball coaching, and I know none of you guys would turn down your dream job, especially if it came with a fat raise!

I am the number 1 fan of anything aTm, and am truly thankful to BCG for making my school that much better. He is an amazing coach and a pretty good guy. I do not blame him, and wish him luck at his new job!

stop hating a man for doing something we only wish we could!!!

    >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

  8. I live here in College Station so I can speak for myself and at least all the Aggies I have spoken to and everyone is stunned... He never released a statement to his players or the student body....

i think its sad that they had to find out like the rest of us...but lets be realistic guys- kentucky got permission to speak to him yesterday afternoon, and they announced it this morning- when was he going to make this "press release"?

  9. I called this one 2 weeks ago.....say what you want about me being anti atm but I told you so!!  Stick that in your karma meter  ::)

    Billy Gillespie:  Hello

Kentucky AD Mitch Barnhart:  Hi Billy, this is Mitch Barnhart how would you like to be the new basketball coach here at Kentucky?

    BG:  Got beer??

MB:  Better...we got all the Kentucky bourbon you can drink

BG:  Can I get my picture taken with Ashley Judd?

    MB:  Huh?  Yeah sure.

BG:  Do I have to whoop or hump it?

    MB:  Uhhhh no

    BG:  Sign me up

man denis...you sure are smart!  ::)

let me on this band wagon!

I PREDICT THAT THE SUN WILL RISE TOMORROW!

  10. As far as the most feared, there are teams that you are about to play or know you have to play that make you have butterflies in your stomach. Im talking about that feeling as a player that you get in the pre-game that says Holy *&%$ these guys are the real deal. I know we (WOS) have that effect on people. I will say this, I have played in one game that I had that feeling. Throughout my varsity carrer, we always had the "shock" factor on our opponents except for one game in my opinion. It was the '97 season playoffs for the regional final, I believe we were ranked #2 in state behind....LaMarque! All season we knew that we would see them. We were just hoping someone would knock them off. They had our number for the past few years, and probably single handily kept us from state those years. I remember in pre-game, it looked like their fans were there for a college game. There were thousands of them! They were all chanting "We are Lamarque Cougars Wooh". I remember saying to myself...here we go! I kicked off on the opening play of the game and pinned them inside the 5. We were pumped, heck we had the #1 defense in the state, what could go wrong? Next play....90 yrds for a touchdown!!! With all this said, I would have to say the most feared team in the 90's for any clasification would be the LaMarque Cougars. I know they are not SETX, but as far as the "Fear factor" they were the poster child.

i bet the 2005 Katy Tigers could make LaMarque wet their pants...I know i almost did as we stood there in disbelief and watched 120 giants ran out of the tunnel while being cheered on by a sea of red...

  11. WOS and Newton are definitely scary teams...along with Brook...who will continue to get better and better

I voted for Brook, but only because I am a little biased- and I think some of you guys would change your votes if someone would set up a game between the Mustangs and the Bruins

...but that will never happen as long as WB is forced by our amazing school board to play "the beaumont bowl"...which means nothing ever since wb started winning
