This week's TABC poll has Ozen at #25, while TGCA poll have them at #12 -  let's hope they make a deep run in the playoffs where it really matters, along with the rest of the SETX teams.

Great hard fought game by both teams.

Lumberton locked in 2nd with a 70-15 win against Vidor.

District 22-5A:
Locks:   Ozen (13-0) for #1 seed
Near Lock:  Lumberton (10-3) - must beat Vidor to clinch #2 seed
Battle for 3rd and 4th seeds:  Central and Livingston tied at 9-4
- Tuesday games:   Ozen vs Livingston, Central vs PNG

KP has 3 of 5 remaining games against the bottom 3, so they look pretty solid in the #3 spot.
The #4 spot is wide open with Humble, New Caney, Crosby and Porter all in contention --- but Crosby is a team to watch and after starting 0-5 in district, they are in a roll --- toughest remaining game for them is Tuesday vs Kingwood Park.
 
 

Halfway thru the district race and here is where things stand as far as I understand.  Listing district and overall records if known.

And it is difficult to believe.  But Lexi Morris is some kind of special.  It was difficult for me to believe when she dropped 40+ in her first game as a freshman 3 years ago!

She is phenomenal - going to be fun to keep up with her this season and follow her at Baylor!

Last night,
Porter swept Caney Creek
Splendora swept New Caney
Porter in 3rd at 10-4
Caney Creek in 4th at 8-6

Caney Creek beat New Caney yesterday.
Caney Creek goes to 8-4, while New Caney drops to 6-6.

LOL - maybe Steph Curry's little girl would be a good prospect!
Think Lumberton will do very well next year with all of last year's returnees and HF will have an exciting brand of basketball to watch.

Jmo but if Lumberton is raining three's, they could beat anyone.  Very good, well coached team.  And anyone that doesn't think so is ignoring their record.

Interesting info, but it all comes down to 1 game against two very good but very different teams.   Wish this were a 3rd round game and not a bi-district game as one very talented team is going to exit the playoffs earlier than they ought to.
Will Lumberton be able to contain Barbers Hills powerful inside game, or will Barbers Hill hamper Lumberton's perimeter accuracy?
Should be quite an atmosphere next Tuesday at ECHS.

If Dayton can come together as a team they will surprise some people.  The one man show and turnovers never win.

Saw them decisively beat a solid 7-2 Dayton team, whose only other loss was to undefeated Clear Lake.  Lumberton will also face a good test tonite against 5-2 West Brook.

Lumberton won over Central in Championship game.
