Come on 19-4a don't go hiding now!!!
Exactly!
Congrats. You beat a 3 seed.
By 15 points! That's not beating. That's humiliating!
Humiliating???? That should make the KIDS feel good!! Not sure why you would want to degrade the young men from Crosby. The first game could have easily went the other way. The second game LCM came out on fire and played extremely well. We should remember that these kids read these post as well. Show some respect for the kids and the game. Congrats to Crosby and LCM on a good year. Good luck in the next round.
That was not meant towards the kids TEL. I was directing that at the poster who tried to degrade LCM's win by saying something about crosby being a 3 seed. I'm sure those kids did a great job and they should be proud for making the playoffs. My apologies if i crossed the line.
Ok, thanks for clearing that up. I just don't like seeing grown up's trashing kids on here. Thanks, and good luck to LCM!
TEL, these posters from LCM are kids.  Just FYI. at least the ones in this thread are.
2. Bear country we need to just let it go as far as hitman goes. (i think he is coach at crosby) You, me, and all of our current and former players know our team runs a few offensive plays like "fake steal of home".  Coach tells us when to get started. Nothing wrong with that at all. You can't wait until pitcher goes into windup, too late.  Hopefully knees buckle.  They did. Sometimes these things work. Last night it did. I say good luck to both teams today.  Enough of the bickering.
3. Great job Alex and Dyllon. What a way to close out district. Thanks for the well wishes Brenhamfan. That has to be a first, from a cub to a bear. LOL. But after Crosby finished the season pounding GCM it looks like we have our hands full in round one.
4. If you are Livingston, the last thing you want to do is end up having to drive back home only to make the trip again tomorrow.  That is why we were willing to stay and play at midnight to help them not have to do that.  Eventually both coaches agreed after watching radar that it was obvious that the rain would not end until 3 or 4am. Hats off to the umpires that were willing to do the same to try to save them another trip down here. Just did not work out.  I also heard the baptist church offered to house the team over night to save them another trip.
5. How about getting past bi district round 15 of the last 16 years.
6. According to the kids, home plate was playable, mound playable, but infield dirt unplayable. They were not able to practice on infield dirt today as you make it sound like. I was also told they were trying to just get loose in outfield grass in pe class and were shut down on that by more rain showers today around 1:30.
7. Final LCM 12 Orangefield 0 LCM 12 runs, on 14 hits, Fults 2 run home run, Humphrey 2 run home run, Adams 3 for 3 w 2B, Swan 2 for 3, Drouillard 2 for 3 w 2B, Blem 2 for 2 w 2B, Pitchers for Bears were Carline (1) Blem (2), Swan (1), Peasley (1)  None of this is official but we did keep a score card. Orangefield 0 runs on 1 hit (i think)
8. Mustang pitching looked good.  Those young guys will only get better as time goes.  Neither team hit the ball too well.  I think LCM had 7 hits including a couple of doubles, but did strike out 7 times. The mustangs had two hits and only put three balls in play while striking out 16 times.
9. LCM did not win the scrimmage against Kelly..... ....but they did outscore them 14-5.  The Bear pitching staff did hold the bulldogs to three hits in 12 innings.  Kelly has a couple of pitchers that will help win quite a few games this year. Good luck to the bulldogs.  They seem to have some really good kids on their team. Does anyone know how the Kelly scrimmage vs Lumberton went Saturday?
10.
JV: LCM 20 Vidor 14
LCM JV is 6-0 I think.  Talking to the kids they are really proud of their team and I understand.  They are not mouthy about it though.  When I asked them about their season, they gave all the credit to their coaches preparing them for exactly what they were up against each week.  The kid or two I talked to claimed coaches Bickham amd Reed (sp?) are the best ever.
11.
Let me clarify for 78stang when I said Great coaches....did not say all time great coaches...that is reserved for only 2 I know and that would be Chuck Young and Ronnie Anderson. Now the resume before they decided to change their career path, Sam Moore was a very successful HS asst. coach at LCM and a very good HC at WOS....and made very deep playoff runs with BC. Chris Fackler was a very successful Asst. Coach at McNeese St. and once given the HC duties broke numerous records offensively and took the Cowboys to the playoffs. Coach Griff over at LCM is the one setting the bar so high for all of the local HS programs with continuous playoff appearances and District titles. So what I meant was as a young up and coming coach who wouldn't want to learn from these guys!!  OBVIOUSLY not 78stang!!! Good Luck Shea, and how dare those other guys make a living on baseball!!!  lol
Not sure Bears, but I think another guy is moving up on the list.  I believe Griff past one of those two guys this year in career wins. I could be mistaken, maybe someone smarter than me could confirm this.
12. While I don't know Shea personally I have kown of him for years, having raised two kids in this community and I have never heard one negative statement about him. I know he comes from a family that loves baseball and he has been around quality baseball people. I personally wish the young man well and hope Shea can get the mustangs turned around. I think it would be great for Orange County if all the baseball teams were in the post season every year.
13. We are out of the playoffs, but I cannot tell you how proud I am to be an LCM Bear Baseball fan.
14. In the 4A Bracket, 7 4th place teams beat District Champions from other districts.  Just an observation.
15. The bottom line is their coach did what he thought was best for his team.  Even in hindsight I believe he did what was best for his team.  They were one swing of the bat away from the lead in the fifth.  I respect their coaches courage for making the decision he did.  I think it was the decision that gave his team the best chance to advance with prom and pitching staff to go three games. (which I also beleive would have happened)  It just did not work out.  That game could have gone either way.  We have all been on the other side of these type games before.  In the end there should be nothing but respect for the 2011 Lee Ganders and their coach.
16. LCM Fanatic  thanks Year of Pat  if you would remove your quote of LCM Fanatic it would be gone and those kids won't have to read that when they get home.  Just a thought.
17.
The hold up is decisions,decisions,decisions....  ;)
Ganderdad, I gather from what little we have been told and your quote above that your group is deciding between two scenarios.  You have any details?
18. I was just looking at the bracket. 20-4A 1st Nederland vs. 19-4A 4th Barbers Hill awaiting the winner of Kingwood Park and Magnolia 20-4A 2nd PNG vs. 19-4A 3rd Crosby awaiting the winner of Brenham and Humble 20-4A 3rd LCM vs. 19-4A 2nd Baytown Lee awaiting the winner of New Caney and Montgomery 20-4A 4th Vidor or Livingston vs. Goose Creek Memorial awaiting the winner of Magnolia West and Willis Is this an accurate bracket for these two districts thus far?
19. That would be incorrect. LCM beat Kingwood Park in the 2010 baseball playoffs.
20.
Lcm is playing error free baseball right now. Png has lost a few games because of errors. But with stone vs smith, i hope this is the match up between the two best pitchers in 20-4a, anything can happen. But ill take lcm with the way they are hitting the ball right now.
Smith pitched Friday against Vidor.  I doubt he will throw in back to back district games.  Some teams have done that though.  We will have to see tomorrow.
21. I had not heard nor read that anyone thought that Zach would struggle with 4A pitching.  I think he was hitting over .400 before getting his new contacts.  I think it effected him more on defense.
22. LCM will sign 4.  KSmith won't be undecided much longer.
