  1. That person was mistaken. We threw one of the best we have at Central. Just like Nederland did tonight. Central is dangerous. I bet after losing to Central last year and escaping with a one run victory this year, they will agree. And didn't Central play Vidor close? This guy was absolutely mistaken. Barry and Brown pitched the Central game and they are two of our best if not our best two. This was just not our night. The Indians played a great game and give them credit for that. The Indians looked like a "TEAM" in every since of the word and we did not. We must regroup mentally to avoid disaster at Ozen on Friday, and get back to the "TEAM" ball we were playing the last couple of weeks. Lott will be another tough test at the friendly confines of Panther Park.
  2. Somebody already posted we have 26 or so as a team. Individual stats just don't mean anything until the season is over. Unless you are looking for a scouting report. In which case we will not be supplying that for you either. Tell your coaches to spend there off time scouting.
  3. I think our boys are more focused on team goals right now and just worrying about one another. This attitude has served them well so far. There will be a time when the season is over for the posting of individual and team stats, and when that time comes we will be represented. Not trying to say there is anything wrong with this. If that is how anyone is reading my statements. Just that we are waiting for later to participate. Good luck to all.
  4. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. I wasn't there last night, but I heard our JV made up the game with Central from Tuesday night and they did the same thing to our JV. Quit in the top of the 4th. They still had 6 outs to go. Surely there has to be some rules governing this sort of thing.
  5. Oh. I thought you meant we had players missing time. But none of these have. So thank goodness we haven't had any serious time missing inujuries.
  6. Who are these injuries? I was unaware of any. I hope they are not serious.
  7. akifan94, Nice picks. Way to go out on a limb. If we play good we win if we play bad we loose. Wow come Sat. you will be telling some people see I told you so. Some things change and some things don't. Seems like I remember you being on here ripping our coaches in the passed. And here we go again. We played two teams in WOS and Central that have historically beat the crap out of us down to the wire in both games and the reason we lost is noncreative play calling? Get a clue. Being vanilla and being good at it is what is keeping us in these games and giving us a chance to win. The turnovers you speak of were made by kids who are busting their butts everyday to play the games and are doing a great job. Last I checked our coaches haven't commited any turnovers. How about you try something different for you and be positive. LCM 14 PNG 10
  8. My bad. Typo. I meant over silsbee in the play in game. But try not to sound so arrogant. Good luck tonight.
  9. MVP-/Probably Murphy or Furguson (best player on the best team)(don't know stats for either) Offensive MVP/ Jake Rowell .522 11HR 48RBI Pitching MVP/ Hales states have been posted and they are impressive. Coach of the Year/ Coach Griffith picked 5th finished 1st. Enough said. Game of the Year/ I will have to vote for BC/Jasper the last game of the season because of what was riding on it. Hit of the Year/ (biased) Jake Rowell HR versus Woodville. I know it can't win because of importance in a game. But it went out of almost staight away center well over 400ft. Performance of the Year/ 1st and 2nd team, consisting of: Chad Richard 1B .430 6HR 36RBI Dallas Brown P 6-1 .83 ERA Jon Gunn 2B .398 (should at least get real consideration for defensice player of the year, he was awesome) Tim Barry Utility .386 4HR 6-1 1.34era
  10. Congrats Hodgesreef and the rest of the Bay City Black Cats. You clearly had the better team. You all played very hard and were deserving of both wins. Best of luck the rest of the way.
  11. Congrats Texas City on a big win. Looks like Coach Young is still getting it done. That guy is unbelievable. Congrats Huffman on a great season. I spoke to many people from PNG and they had very good things to say about your team.
  12. lcmbaseball1907: There is almost nothing in your last post that is accurate. Please do not post until you check facts. Simply looking at LCM's website will debunk some of what you posted. According to it Jaynes and Landry hit 11 and Knox hit 8 doesn't go far enough back for Burrow so not real sure. Other than that check with coach Griff. Also Jake's season is not over yet. So we do not know what is average will be or his homer total. If you want to site stats on Jake the only one that matters is a four year record of 113-30. Got that from LCM's website so I assume it is accurate.
  13. Lets not bring the umpire into it. He seemed like an honest man who did a solid job. Bay City seemed to get a few calls last night, but somebody has to get them. (but they probably feel the other way) And they weren't the difference in the game. We shot ourselves in the foot a few times. But we have a tough team that is more than capable of bouncing back. Hats off to BC for a solid game. You guys are a very good team.
  14. I prefer wade fishing over any other type. Do you happen to know where, when, and how to wade fish Trinity Bay? Sorry, but info out of the chronicle that everyone has already seen, or info about a player no longer in the lineup, doesn't show good faith. Bearbacker, I think our coaches will save Syd. Jr. to close game 1 or start game 2 or 3.
  15. hodgy, You gotta give a little to get a little. If "yall" (BH) played them then tell us about them. What kind of pitching do they have? Who are their better hitters? How do you get them out?
  16. Great job all year MIF. I know everyone has enjoyed it. Who ever takes over next year will have tough standards to live up to. You always seem very well informed. Might I start by recommending adminbaberuth. Very well informed and should be around for a while.
  17. All LCM players, fans, and coaches will be praying for this young man's quick recovery and his family as well.
  18. Please stop posting. You are embarrassing. I am not sure you aren't from Vidor just trying to get your people fired up.
  19. You are correct. This person doesn't represent anyone in LCM. All players are well aware of what happened last time they played Vidor and know it will be a very hostile environment come Friday. That being said I don't believe LCM is looking any further than Tuesday and a much improved and very dangerous Lumberton squad.
  20. Man relax. This is a local orange county paper. They sell zero papers in beaumont. Call the Enterprise and have them do a local roundup of their coverage area and I am sure you will be in it.
  21. Coach Griff should really have his choice. Any of these three should be available, as none threw alot on Thursday. Also Dallas Brown should be an option as well. But I don't think Coach Griff has said. Ben Jones is a Junior I think. He is not a soph I am sure.
  22. 3 guys split the game up. Tim Barry, Adam Leggett and Ben Jones.
  23. This is not what this thread is about. And I promise I won't continue this. I wasn't trying to speak for you. Sorry if you took it that way. I was just letting the people in Vidor know you don't speak for LCM. We don't make excuses.
  24. Piratefan, Please read Monty's previous posts. He is not an LCM person. We have made no excuses. You guys won, congrats. You all played an error free game and that is what it takes in highschool baseball. Along with getting the big hit when you needed it. Hats off to you. Just trying to head off one of those ugly threads. Should be a great game in Nederland tonight. Both teams seem to be hitting their stride. To close for me to call, but good luck to both teams. I hope you both come out healthy.
