This is another example why the UIL needs to rethink (which will never happen) how they do their numbers. Wonder what the difference is in numbers between Warren and Woodville???
Haven't been to Tyler County I take it.

Payback for basketball scores in the past no doubt.

So far I would have to agree. This has been very informative and enjoyable. Football season will be fun if Jody doesn't stir it too much.
Jody likes to stir, but it is all in fun as far as I can tell.

This site is going to be so much better than the downlow come football season..heck it already is IMO. Don't care for all the different boards but I am getting used to it.

WOOF WOOF.

i think Silsbee will go D1 if they get in the playoffs' date='....if not Jasper will.....
If niether Jasper or Silsbee make the playoffs, then WO-S goes D1....But i would say thats highly unlikely[/quote']
WO-S is the only school I would put money on to make it to the playoffs in that district. The other spots will be like birds (Hawks and Cardinals) being chased by cats (Tigers and Wildkats) who are being chased by a dog.
I'd say Silsbee and BC would get my nod at this point with the athletes they have returning. But Jasper and Kirbyville have both had good success last few years so it will be wide open. HJ lost a lot but could be the spoiler.
HF and Orangefield probably make the playoff in weaker sister districts, but in the house of pain in this district.

BC plays a tough schedule. They should have played LCM this year if they didn't..no matter what the reason.
-
If you are swinging at a pitch and the ball makes contact with you hands and it goes foul...The batter is out.
Thats not a rule.
If you are swining at the pitch and it hits your hand it is possible it could be called a strike or a hit batter. It will depend on the umpire's knowledge of the rulebook and his determination of whether or not the pitch was a strike.

He did. Was a defensive back.
-
I remember that Dayton team. Pearson was very good.
-
Yes it does. Both teams will be tough in a 1 game series. Wonder who could win in a 2 out of 3? Does BC have a decent #2?
-
Until someone picks on WO-S ..have seen this pony show before.
-
ok we will see...take me up on the bet then :l
I wouldn't bet that any of the 6 who made the playoffs last year will for sure make it this coming up year. If I had to pick the one I am most confident about it would be WO-S then Bridge City. In my opinion Jasper, Silsbee and Kirbyville will fight it out for the 3rd spot. I think you give the early nod to Jasper on tradition.
-
Should be a good game.
-
You'd win that first bet, but you gonna have to knock off Jasper to make the playoffs. Silsbee won't be able to touch WO-S or BC next year.

Nothing against Deon' date=' but Not Even the Pope looks good in Orange.
Now if it were Maroon, I might agree.[/quote']
Now you woudln't want Stangs playing for the Ags would ya?
-
Probably would have been in their best interest to have faced better pitching and all around better competition for the last tournament before district' date=' but I'm sure they will step it up in time for the part of the season that really matters.[/quote']
Wouldn't better competition have beaten them 20-0 instead of 20-10?

Shepherd has had some very good Baseball teams in the past. Triangle people aren't very familiar with this program. They are the kind of team that will make you wonder what just happened if you don't know better.
-
So is the Brittany from orange on the list diferent from the one you are talking about?
-
BH is always very good at baseball. They are the hardest hitting 3A team I have seen year in and year out.
-
Not many Madduxes around.
-
And missing a couple games in a round robin tourney shouldn't dissuade them from going to support their classmates and community. There will be other baseball games to play. Good luck to the stangs.

5-4 wasn't close at all..1 vote against is all it took. Had to be an unanimous vote if favor of Dayton from new and old district just for them to be able to get the UIL to look at the situation..at least that is what I thought I read in a newspaper article when realignment first happened.
