  1. so you are saying that max preps put his name as the head coach a whole year before he started working there? It says it clear as day go look for your self. It was over 8 years ago buddy, you could just have your years mixed up, people do it all the time. Why would a credited recruiting website report that wrong? you are going off your personal memory, they are a professional football record keeping database. I'll take their word for it over your personal memory.
  2. Craig Stumps first year was in 2004, in which he went 2-8. Stump took a year to get it rolling and when he did they rolled. So i'm sure if we check the rest we will see you are wrong about those 82. It totally discredits your validity when you just make stuff up to prove a point. Now nothing you say can be taken serious because you are just lying and trying to make your self look good while talking about some one elses lively hood. Stay classy 82' HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!
  3. Very few coaches have the ability to win right away. Even great coaches can struggle in their first year trying to get things the way they wanted. Nick Saban at Alabama and LSU struggled big time at both places the first year and then won national championships in both spots. Stump struggled in year one too, and then got it rolling. Give it a year or two and the brook will be getting into the playoffs.
  4. I truly believe that the constant blaming of coaches and officials has made it harder for kids to be coachable and to accept responsibility when they maybe don't play so well. You talk to people that didn't even start in high school that talk about trying to get a scholarship but the coaches wouldn't help him. People are delusional when it comes to self evaluation. Todays society for the most part always has a finger to point all the blame at, when most of the time the blame is usually of the one doing the pointing. If you do it then your kid does it and neither one of you know what you are talking about. JUST SHUT UP AND PLAY, OR SHUT UP AND CHEER.
  5. I understand you have to be able to play football, but extra athletes that have extreme amounts of extra athletic ability always helps. No coach on earth would agree that those athletes wouldnt make a huge difference. If you get those 15-20 kids when they are freshman and coach them on how to play football for four years and now lets say just 5-6 of those super athletic kids become a super athletic football player, at the 2A level if you get 5-6 extra really athletic kids it changes your program from being like Hardin or Kountze to being like EC or Newton. It's all about numbers, thats why 5A's are better than 4A's. It's what coaching is all about taking a kid with potential and getting it out of him. Every coach that has came through Kountze in the past 10-15 I promise you has said man I would love to get some of those basketball players to play football.
  6. They are a sleeping giant, maybe they wont make the playoffs this year in football, but they win district in basketball and track almost every year because they have a ton of great athletes. At a 2A school you have to get kids playing every sports to be succesful. If they accomplish that no one in the district can compare to the amount of athletes they have at Kountze beside Newton. They have tons of athletes every year and if they can get excitement in the football program and get those kids to play they will be hard to play with. That's why they are a sleeping giant not because of what there history or current team is but what it could be if they get the right people in charge, and it looks like they are on the right track.
