They havent played anyone.

I agree... Awesome record, but not exactly a tough district. Most of the state ranked teams, have similar records, but have big wins and have played a tougher schedule. They should be real close to cracking the top 10 though. Also, they will get a chance to prove theirselves here in a couple weeks, when the playoffs start. Their first round game looks like it will be 17-4A's Montgomery Bears.
I see where they had LCM, Nederland, and Montgomery on the schedule. Have no idea if these games were played or were scrimmages. These kids from New Caney played in what was one of the top 5A districts in the state the last two years. It has helped them tremendously this year. -

Yep they are 19-2 this year with the only losses coming to Huffman and st Thomas
Do they still have the same head coach ? I was very impressed with him in '07-'08 when my son played against them.
Yes, Donnie Randell still coaches them. He is a graduate of New Caney from 76 or 77. Good coach, came home after coaching at Lufkin quite a few years. -
All,
Barbers Hill has built a really nice complex. We played there this weekend and the complex is top notch. The umpires were a little inexperienced, appeared to be mainly league ball, but overall they did not do a terrible job. I have seen worse. -

Was Peyton out the first 17 games????

I'll take Woden 51-48.

When are the board elections held? Make sure you are there at that time with your own supporters and perhaps the makeup of the board will change.

I'd have to say that to only have Ford on the first two teams from Kirbyville is a joke....
I only saw one of Kirbyvilles games but Ford was not the best player on Kirbyville the game I saw. That would have been the Cucanik (sp) kid. That kid played lights out the whole game. -
Why not? Looks like at least 50 people were intersted enough to look at it. I like seeing scores from all over personally.

Humble by 10...
-
I went to the game last night. First time to see Kirbyville play. # 8 for you guys had a great game. Very good athlete. Plays efective on both sides of the ball. I had heard a bunch of talk about how great #1 was. While he did have a couple of big runs he did not play 100% on every play in my opinion. Not taking anything away, he is good, just not what I expected I guess. That LaVega quarterback was impressive. Good win.....

Humble beating Stratford and Brookshire Royal beating Giddings kind of raises some eye brows. The Woodlands usually is ranked high, but bows out early in the playoffs.
Humble's only loss is to 5A Dobie I believe.
Would Dayton and Humble match up? I like the Humble HC Walt B bc good man and does a good job.
Would be a very good game. Both have strong defense. Was over in your area watching Coldspring tonight. They were flat first half. But have really good team speed. -
