grown ups are talking son. besides, today is my last day on here till friday night. on my 24 hr shift in this crap hole Bacliff, so hen i go home, it's taking my 4 year old to the movies, thanksgiving with the inlaws and relax till friday.

I do not believe it is necessary to attack anyone's character to make my point. You defend your teams but why do you talk so mean to people.

well when started my little campaign in a diplomatic approach, these KIDS started smacking back and it took off from there. i treat you how you treat me. you come at me in a calm manner you get that in return. i will admit, most of it is to just tick people off because they are not looking at the broad picture. yes, being in the playoffs is exciting. everyone want there team to go far and do well, but when you have teams LOADED with talent for the past 20 years and NOBODY can make it to dallas, something is wrong. example. "SETX" have 6 or more players starting or recently retired from the NFL. these young men has been in the NFL anywhere over the last 10-12 years. you would THINK that this area would have SOMETHING to show for it. the area have several D1 starters playing college. you wouldn't know it from this area playoff history. i said all that to say, at the end of the day, when the season is over. no matter how good you were, do you ever think, man, what could coach do to get us over that hump. for me, how can xbox harrison FIX a defense that has been poor since 04?? it's not that i hate the area i come from. i hate that we just settle knowing deep in side,SETX have the talent of what it takes to have at least 2-3 teams in dallas every year. not saying you have to win it, but 5 rds at least and not settle for a DC and 3 rds.

but that's what was scary about him. this dude would go to practice once a week sometimes and start on friday lol...i remember he was the punter and if he felt he could make it, he would call his own number lol. coach washington would curse and chew him out knowing he just saved his behind lol.yeah baseball was his sport, man that boy was gifted!! just like all the track stars around the family. good to know we are still around representing that purple and gold. the thing i hate the most is losing that school. they were actually or had turned the corner in football and was getting better. imagine jamaal running it for lincoln with all the talent  they had at lincoln and better coaching. good luck to the grandson. but i still want wos to lose lol. i will be on the look out for this gem!!

i'm glad you acknowledge it's a new season after week 10. something myself and the rest of the goobers have missed. great point. with that being said, NOTHING LM OR WOS HAVE DONE PRIOR TO THIS MEETING REALLY MATTERS!! keep it going ladybug(being serious about the chatter with you) will admit, don't have alot of time to check stuff out everyday or every other day. so thanks for updating me on the MEANINGFUL info. when i go home, very rare i get online, unless it's friday night when my wife and kids are asleep.

I have herd all the in and out about who has played who schedule.It all doesn't matter its about who plays better friday night.Both schools have great programs and have been for a long time.If LM lose are WOS lose they are still great programs.Do any of you realize how many schools that WISH they were you.TO both schools and fans if you win act like you been there before and if you lose give the other team credit.Don't know why LM hated so much in the Setex.I quess if we were the doormat for the last 20 years we would be loved.You don't win championships and get to 10 with bad kids not in this state.Think about what you say when you down others.Its hard to just win one .

LM is no stranger to the rosenburg schools, which wos loss. so with that district, LM would have loved to had switched. I could be wrong, but I believe the area rankings have stopped since the playoffs began, so therefore all teams are on equal footage as the rounds play themselves out locally. However, Maxipreps has its ranking continuously throughout the regular season and beyond. Here is their latest on WOS and LaMarque. WOS is higher!

Yes LM rushes for 250 a game but that's simply because they have played less athletic programs! Wos will match their athletic ability all over the field! HJ was also averaging a crap load of yards running the ball and so was giddings!!! It's obvious that the LM passing game isn't very good and that's why they run so much! You will not beat this wos team with a one dimensional offense! This will be the 5th team wos has faced this year that is a run happy team! They are well prepared!!!

ROFLMAO.....LM can't pass smh...don't matter how the ball is moved, LM  will move the ball. the same can be said about WOS cupcake schedule as some wos have already admitted to.

yes sir, it would. regardless of what the WOS loud mouths say or think, LM is ranked higher.

Not really ,do some research.  LM is 3-1 vs WOS and their last meeting was in 2000 which WOS won.

first off lets look at LM #1 very big--YES # 2 very fast backs--YES #3 plays smart football--NO # 4 smart coaching staff--so so #5 passing game-- joke lol # 6 blocking skills -- my be only on the sweeps

now wo-s # 1very big-- no #2 very fast-- so so # 3 playes smart football--yes # 4 smart coaching staff -- one of the best around # 5 passing game very good # 6 blocking skills -- good

what is smart football in your opinion? THIS years LM team doesn't  get penalized as much as you may think. they run and run and run and run and pass and run some more, run, run, and SCORE. blocking is pretty darn good. passing game is just used till needed. it was some gripes early in the year that no passes was being thrown or attempted. when they do pass, they normally  MAKE the defense jump offsides(watch friday)for a free wide open pass play. or they  complete the screen play. no they don't throw crossing routes and such, but you have to be specific when you say pass and LM together. vertical passing-NO.  complicated routes- NO.

You made an excellent point when you said “Going 3/4rounds deep in the playoff for years does mean that you have a good program regardless if you make it to state”  I agree because what it says it that the foundation for winning is solid the components are in place to win multiple titles on the state level. Most teams cannot say that they get the opportunity to make those goals a reality. I believe that WOS is blessed to have the kids and leaders who coach and have produced championships, runner up positions, and so many district titles over the years.  IMO the extra push that will lead the team to a state championship is, the extra drive the young men who suit up and take the football field from WOS stay focused, and play with an extra intensity that will propel them to move forward. The Kids will need to raise their level of play, the coaches cannot do it for them. 

what it says the local teams you meet in the first 2-3 rds are TRASH!!  like i stated already. WOS and Newton are the only real battled tested teams in the area. for wo-s when they come across teams with equal or even close to being matched up with them, they struggle. they can't help who they play in the playoffs, but face it, rds 1-3 GENERALLY speaking are cupcake rds for wos. that has NOTHING to do with friday and LM. Usually this match up would have been a rd 4 game.

 

That's what I was getting at Kicker.We have done pretty good for the number of kids that come out and play.Going 3,4 rounds deep for years says you have a good program regardless weather you make it to state.We have just ran into teams that were better than us and that ain't no reason to hang your head.

and here it is...the "acceptance of mediocrity", kool aid sipper...why not have a GREAT instead of good program? it's no secret wos do have very good players and can play. dominating that district is no task for them. playing nederland and pn-g, that's easy. i'm not even saying you have to have this monster schedule. however, what is that missing x-factor, as in wos case, holding them back from getting to the next level?? the whole state know what PAM's brick wall is, but nobody is holding kenny ray accountable because he goes to the playoffs and that's fine with the masses...until this year for me.

Even though it is pretty torturous to read MightyMouses comments having grown up with Mustang football running through my veins, at some point you have to take a step back and look at the big picture. I am not discrediting any of the teams in years past for accomplishing what they have but whether many of yall want to admit to it or not, we haven't lived up to standards in many of those years. Playoff games which we were the better team (More talent, better coaching, etc.) have slipped by us. At some point we do have to be real with ourselves and understand that 3rd&4th rounds aren't enough with the program that we have, we have to and I am confident that we will eventually get over that hump and make it back to Dallas.

I think it's time us WOS fans look at the whole picture. #1) it should be a great game. No matter what the mightymouse (or whatever his wife calls him) thinks, both teams should be at their best to win. Only one team will be able to swim in this cement "pound" of victory #2) as long as mightymouth is running his crumb catcher it means no one is in immediate need of a taxi!!
