Newton has struggled, yes there schedule is tough but if you seen the last couple of games you know they shouldn't be even ranked . Need to be worried about beating Orangefield   And next week not letting the WOS game be a total embarrassment to the rest of the State. 

I wasn't , Henderson had more penalties then Newton . Newton didn't get cheated against Henderson they just played bad and keep handing the ball to a RB that couldn't and has never been able to hang on to the football . The kids on the team blamed it on cheating all over Facebook , maybe it cause of the 55 yards in penalties after half on the first possession  or it could some leftover feelings from bridge city game . that was the worst ref game I've ever see in my life .  

Another tough game for Newton , The lack in depth and leadership has shown Last couple of games . The Eagles gotta learn to fight through controversy and not lay down . The last couple of games there been some bad calls and you can see them laydown and then try and blame the loss on cheating . it's not Newton football.

yea they didn't have the ref advantage against lumberton 

It's in BC they get good refs down there I gotta say BC wins at home

I'm disgusted about how this game turned out , I can't see how bridge city could be proud of winning a game that was so terribly officiated in there favor . Absolutely disgusted and ashamed to say this game was played in south east Texas .. Wish we could have seen a real game who knows what would of happen could have been an epic game .  I encourage you if you have hudl watch this game and correct me if I'm wrong . 

#5 best running back on the team in my opinion .  

Bridge city played hard , hate to hear about refs that's just disgusting . But good job bridge city , Newton will be ok . 

Kirbyville was really overrated , and I know it's a scrimmage but Newton scored 6 scores to 1 vs kville  

Go watch the film the difference is quite obvious , Newton will dominate this game from the first qrt. Btw Tatum would wipe the floor with bridge city . 

Go watch the Tatum Newton game on hudl , then watch kirbyville bridge city and you tell me if you don't see Newton easily beating BC .. The speed difference is crazy and the play calling much more productive .. This game will be over by half time if not the first qrt. Sorry but look at the film . 

Coach WT Johnston will not be there , he still recovering . 

Good showing by Newton , passing game still needs work .. No pocket protection for Barbay or Sumrall but both played well . Sumrall completed 2 passes one for a TD , Barbay took a lot of hits and was 1-4 I don't think he is use to the bootleg pass game yet . Though he did manage a few yards on the ground , he was on the run a lot with almost no pocket protection . Run game look great and D look faster than last year with a few miscues in the secondary . 

figured yall would have some things to say if I put "predictions" in there , I forgot how easy this is . I'm ready for the Season to start . 

Kirbyville played Newton hard last year , it was actually exciting scrimmage .. 

there national rankings are always way way off . 

Crockett will be a lot better , close to there old selves if they get Defense better. 

That's what I was thinking after last year it should be , they are both ranked in top ten again and I mean they both went to State . sounds like it should happen .

Newton got a lot of respect for the Mustangs , should be a great game .

His younger brother Kirkland (junior) getting looks but I think he likes basketball better. he has several offers for basketball . 

I'm going loss to WOS in a tough one  and then winning out , Newton has 2 D1 commits and a lot of solid young players coming back . For the first time in a long time there will be a QB battle, Newton has 3 QBS all 3 are juniors .. Barbay, Sumrall , Foster.
