  1. Ballgame. Int Cougars. Good game Crosby!
  2. Were still missing 5 players & very flat off PNG. LP hasnt been great this year either. They’re just now starting to play more mistake free. The score was 25-9 still until 00:00 with a gimme. FWD always plays LP tough for some reason. I think they’d won the last 5.
  3. Pretty good game. Can’t believe Crosby’s given up 14 already though.
  4. KWP gets ball first in 3rd.
  5. 45 for Crosby D is having a heck of a game as well.
  6. I said I have FWD as the 4 seed right now. KWP looks just like last week.
  7. Yarbrough with 60 yard TD pass & run called back for blind side block.
  8. 75 for Crosby is a BIG boy! LOL
  9. TD KWP. QB keeper from the 3. Might wind up being a better game than I thought…
  10. Nope. Good screen call to 3 yd line.
  11. Cougars look pretty solid so far. Let’s see if they hold on 4th and short for KWP in red zone.
  12. Glad you said that! I had forgotten Crosby played tonight.
  13. Right now, I’m looking at: 1. Angleton/La Porte toss up 3. Crosby 4. Friendswood Lot of ball left to be played though…
  14. I’m waiting to see what Angleton really has. As of right now, I don’t see them as playing a winning team at the time until La Porte in the next to last district game. Calpreps—as of now—has that game as 27-26 Angleton on neutral field in regular season at 53%, and 27-26 La Porte on neutral field in PO’s at 53%. Basically, they don’t seem to think much about Angleton’s opponents so far compared to LP’s schedule strength.
  15. Can’t read the article. But, that looks like LP’s Sandolph in the pic. One of the ‘Four Horsemen.’ (My new nickname for Barnes, Sandolph, Bright, and Simon.) Frickin legs…😂🤣😎
  16. Time of year when depth starts making a big difference.
  17. Yes. May have been Jimmies. What I’m seeing is a lot more teams going back to more ‘traditional style’ offenses. These things go in cycles, and it’s very difficult for all but mega schools to consistently find QB’s who can really be effective with a true spread type offense year in and year out. I’d venture to guess most schools have an outstanding QB that can win a game almost on their own only every few years if that, and that’s what you need for the ‘high flying’ spreads. So coaches go for the O’s that they can groom the majority of kids to be successful running, and take advantage of the superstar’s skills more within that O when they get them.
  18. As a side note, seems I remember a lot of posters saying it was all about the Johnnies & Joes in a previous thread. 😉😉😉
  19. Texas Football admitted they had this district all screwed up. Matt said proofing wasn’t ‘up-to-snuff’ so to speak. Haven’t seen Crosby this year. But, KWP either had a really bad game, or just ran into a buzz saw because they didn’t look sharp at all against LP last week. Going with Crosby.
  20. Pretty good list. Swervin Curvin was actually from Trinidad. Yes. Simon does seem to find holes & is patient for a fish. LP has an excellent RB coach back again in Whitely. Don’t forget Keith Jr. He was very similar to Barnes. I was kinda hard on Saenz (QB) earlier in the year. But, he’s coming along nicely. It’s also a relief to have the D players back. LP has good depth now. Berneathy has gotten buy in again, and he’s been opening the playbook up more. Been calling for them to use big #88 forever. Finally, tonight for the first TD. Any D will have a hard time stopping him if they get him the ball more. He’s open all the time. Frickin’ man child. Need to nickname him ‘Son of Sasquatch.’ LOL
  21. Pasadena. Might be a hat trick.
  22. He’s a good sized kid for a fish. Bigger than the other 3 already, and doesn’t go down at first contact. Not sure of his YAC. But, must be the majority of his yards. They looked good tonight & LP has always produced RB/LB combo type and size players. Just the size kids around here with a few big boys for the OL.
