IMO its WOS #1, NED #2, Memorial #3, LP#4 and Coldspring #5.
Are you serious?? Coldspring would drop that hat on Wos!
False statement my friend.. This isnt the same WO-S coldsprings saw last year this years defense is the best the school has prduced in a very long time

It will be very difficult for many teams to score on WO-S this year. Just too good on the defensive side of the ball.

I predict that WO-S will have a minimum of 6 shut outs this season and quite honestly believe that Silsbee may be the only district team that will possibly get a score against this version of the Chain Gang Defense.

I said that earlier this year on this board and people jumped my butt saying im getting ahead of myself and I didnt know what I was talking about.. im telling you guys this group on defense as a whole is the best to come through WO-S in the past 12 years.. WO-S should and IMO will shut-out all but maybe 2 of their opponets.. Really and truly Nederland was suppose to get shut-out but the back up QB Rutledge threw a fluke pick six off of a deflected pass other then that WO-S would have won by 2td's like I said they would..
Well, if you want to take away Nederland's "fluke" pick six, then you have to take away WO-S's pick six that came off the hands of a Nederland receiver. Then WO-S scores just 1 TD to Nederland's 0 TD's.
I see where your coming from and your right, but just for the sake of a debate, The pick six WO-S had was against Nederlands 1's the one Nederland scored on was against WO-S's 2's at the end of the game.. But still you are right..

If Nederland is the 13th ranked team in 4A then WO-S when they hit their stride on offense will be a top 5 team in 3A their defense is as usual fast and physical.

I think Nederland and Ozen will play for the district championship..
Why do you think that? Just curious.  8)
They are the only two teams in their district that can probably shut down the teams they will play from a week to week basis.... I think them along with Vidor are the class of their district and I also think each of them will each go atleast to the 3rd round of the playoffs again

  5. I was a 3 year starter for WO-S and played college football but I'm the person on this board that doesn't know what I'm talking about?? Ok..

And Vidor wasn't up big against WO-S they were up by 14 and WOS came back and beat them with their starters in the game, Also regarding bitter fans because Nderland finally beat WOS, that isn't the cas at all Nederland beat WOS fair and square no excuss to be mad, BUT any mustang fan will tell you, that Nederland caught us befor Coach T finally switched the offense back to mainly the spread offens, same can be said about the Vidor game, WOS came out throwing the 2nd half and Vidor couldn't run with us..

I assure you that if it were a real game, it would be played differently than it will this Friday...scrimmages are used by coaches to evaluate players and look at different situations...score can kept or not, but to me it has little relevance since the entire playbook is not used and many substitution patterns are used that will not be in regular season games.
ou guys tell the coaches it doesnt count or it has little relevance and see what kind of reaction you get, if it had little relevance then the coaches wouldnt do it.. Its a big deal and the best way to test were your team is.. if it wasnt important the coaches wouldnt coach the kids it would be like 7on7.. Come on guys..

Also for the 2nd string comment WO-S has only if i counted correctly 25 kids who will have silver helmets, So really and truly WO-S doesnt have a second string and they havent had a true second string in years if you look at all of their games since last year the starters stay in the entire game..
  7. WO-S doesnt do controlled scrimmages, They do game like scrimmages were the score is kept, only thing different is they dont do live kick-offs and punt returns.. And even if it was controlled fans and coaches still keep score! Only fans and or coaches of a losing/un-successful program say things like "hey guys its just a scrimmage there isnt a score" Last year in the Vidor Scrimmage WO-S won with a last second field goal. Vidor was keeping the score and the time on the scoreboard

Don't underestimate a player's will to win. WOS is good, but they're not the old WOS.We'll see how LCM rises to the occasion. Hopefully those young kids coming up for LCM understand the bitterness of the rivalry, I feel like they're too young to know.
"they're not the old WOS". Please explain..
the WOS teams with multiple D1 talents on the team at the same time. talent just isn't what it was.. it's still good, but i remember a time when WOS absolutely dominated. talking about the early 2000s
This years WO-S squad will have the most D-1 talent on it since the late 80's early 2000's 5 D-1 players and another 2 or 3 juco guys on this years squad.. And only one of those guys is a full-time offensive guy, the rest are going to be apart of that nasty defense

I might have been dreaming but last year I think that I saw some-where that Deionte Thompson was one of the fastest freshman in the nation. (USA) Oh heck, it had to be a dream.  There`s no way WOS would have a kid that fast. If it were true, that would be some more really bad news for the teams that WOS will play for the next 3 years such as Silsbee, don`t you think.
He had the fastest 200 meter time in the nation for his age group when he was in the 8th grade

That entire sophmore class for WOS this year is going to be special, and Dee is one of the best in that group of standouts.  GREAT kid too, always been one of my favorites, since Little League... I can't wait to see him shine on Friday Nights...  Good work Dee... Proud of U
He is a good kid. He played J V last year, so we'll be waiting to see what he'll do under the Friday Night Lights!
He got moved up to Varsity by the end of the season.. He's fighting right now for a safety spot on defense..

Former HD Coach Jerry Stewart of Dayton.  Still a coach by HEART.  Has a winning record against every 4A school in SETX.
Those Dayton and WO-S gaes were always great battles.. Me and a forer teammate were talkking about Dayton the other day, always a very physical well coached bunch of kids..  I respect their program alot
  12. I Think its Cornell Thompson but obviously im biased lol

Im interested to hear what every one else thinks, and maybe to make it interesting every one should pick another coach besides there on and in that case I will go with the Coach of the Vidor Pirates, with the Nederland coach a close 2nd
  13. Can one of the admins message me and let me know which rule I violated?

I have said nothing wrong or false about anybody...

    A. Alex Cesar is a student athlete evident by him being ranked #2 in his class academically at a very competition heavy school in that regard, but on the football field he has yet to proven he can play a whole season and dominate.. He has everything you want size for his position, speed, and most important a good head on his shoulders, and a good Christian upbringing..

    B. Colin Janice, he will be the first to tell you that I look out for him more then possibly anybody when it comes to recruiting, I wish nothing but the best for the young man, and for people to try and spin it into a negative shame on you he's like a brother to me and he knows I have his best interest at heart..
