That's the start of the holiday week unless they're on a different or weird school calendar.  Otherwise grades would only play a part starting the week after Thanksgiving.

Angleton wins 31-6.  Only Terry TD came with 3:00 left with the scrubs in for Angleton.  Terry couldn't stop Angleton's 2s.  Griffin came out of halftime with his arm in a sling.  Dawson had some athletes there harassing elderly Angleton fans and had to be escorted out.

[/quote] Yes...and it was one of those games where we missed recovering a fumble, missed two picks, and couldn't stop them on three 4th downs.  If we would have done any of those, we would have won the game.  If there is ever such a thing as a good loss, that was one of them.  Woke some of the seniors up who thought they just had to show up.

Since Angleton destroyed Foster Friday, they will likely play Friendswood and Foster will get Dawson.  Angleton still has to beat Terry but that won't be a problem.  I'm calling a Foster over Dawson upset!!!!

The Angleton from 7 years ago showed up last night.  Selfish, undisciplined and soft!

It's just like a UFC or Boxing match...you can't leave the game in a position for the refs to have an influence at the end.  If we make plays the refs don't matter.

Just in case anyone forgot, Angleton scored five TDs in the 3rd quarter last year on that Vidor defense.

I will say this as an Angleton fan.  I've talked to some of the coaches in Angleton and they said that they will not see a better defensive front than Nederland.  The O Coordinator said that it was the best he's ever seen and he's been around the block a time or two.

I would take I-10 west to Beltway South to 288 South.  Might hit three tolls at $2 a pop but would be worth it.

I'll go Angleton by 17 points.  I don't think the Angleton defense gets enough credit.  It's hard to keep the yardage per game low when you're playing 75-80 defensive plays because it takes your offense two to score.  They do manage to get turnovers.  They forced 32 turnovers in 14 games last year and have forced 7 in two games so far this year.

That may be true but when the coaching staff is sulking more than the players that says something.  Add in the timeouts burned because Groveton can't get 11 players on the field.

Trinity had 3 safeties high in a prevent defense and the coach called for a 15 yard post that ended up being a pick 6.  It was the last play of the first half and they were on their own 35.

163 rushing yards doesn't automatically mean the O line dominated.  Missed tackles attributed to it.  Montgomery is a good team with a good RB and WR.  If they had a better QB they'd be great.  Brenham is down so you guys will take that district.  Good luck!

Here's the boxscore- [Hidden Content]? site=default&mkt=houston&Season=2012&tpl=Boxscore&Sport=1&ID=145765&TeamID=216&SearchType=Teams [/quote] You should probably get a copy of the film and watch the game again because at no point did Mont O Line control the line of scrimmage.  Mont.  got the ball on the 28 after Ang muffed the 2nd half kickoff and had to settle for a FG.  The 30-40 yard TD run by #28 was on a stunt call.  Ang DE #44 created havoc all night.  #65 and #98 plugged all night except when they were double teamed.  The game was never in doubt for Ang.  If Ang played Mont 10 times Ang wins 10 times.

How is Montgomery supposed to be this year?  Anyone heard anything about their running back playing this year?  I heard he was suspended for disciplinary reasons.

Angleton is 9-0 away from Wildcat Stadium this year.  And a note on the Angleton -Dawson series..the home team is 0-3 in the last three games.
