1. Funny how you posting a picture of a Dayton Bronco getting trucked got me involved in a debate with the great town of Brenham and apparently was accussed of family bashing. Well now that really has gone too far and pissed me off so here goes since y'all are so innocent. To be honest I can't stand the color purple or Dayton for that matter and beating them (the same team you declared with you of course the best in region 3, Crosby, Elgin, and Angleton will have something to say about that) still makes me grin from ear to ear. I just want to know this year on y'alls dinner date whatcha gonna talk about, basketball or the time that both of you were the first losers in the big game (go ahead and let us all know well at least we've been there, yeah but you lost, so go ahead, nothing wrong with losing like you both did, in the end you still LOST.) cause it sure won't involve you two in the playoff picture. Like I told your uni buddy earlier I'm done with Brenham (so y'all can go change your names and bash Crosby on the other forum, we're use to it, I'll be easy to find right here til I get banned for really letting someone know how I feel), Crosby has bigger fish to fry and Calhoun is next on the menu. CC Takeover in the Alamo city is getting nearer to being in full effect...Go Coogs #CodeRed....

Better to have been to the big dance and lost, than to have never been there. Glad I was able to piss you off with a picture of a 150 pound running back. Good riddance.
2. You see, Brenham and Dayton respect each other. We meet up before, during and after the games. I know guys that have dinner before and after. We have had some very memorable games over the last few years, and I would never post anything that was meant to offend anyone on the board. I never made a crack at Crosby until I was cracked on, and even then it was minimal. I'm hoping that both Brenham and Crosby do win this weekend. Rivalries are always good for the game of high school football. FRIENDLY rivalries. Not rivalries that people start making personal attacks on people AND their families. That's messed up. Let's keep it about the game on the field....about the kids. It's not about us on these forums trash talking each other, well knowing that the same kids that we are claiming to support are probably reading it. What kind of example are you setting for them. Again, good luck to all of your teams that are still playing. Go Big Green. Beat Elgin.
3. Now you gonna bring that mess in here when Crosby / King / and Dayton are living in such peace and harmony that we are backing one another. We'll here goes, how many yds did #5 have that night?? (Crickets). And it's a shame that Dayton doesn't get to knock y'all out cause ice cream man you gothe the gauntlet of Elgin and if you survive that ol' 11-1 Coogs will be ready to pounce on some Cubs. I hear the National Geographic channel refused to show the game due to graphic content. First things first, we comin down I10 Calhoun in about 40 hours. Tick tock Tick tock. Gotta stop at Bucees first them dang Beaver Nuts are like Crack, I think!!!

Man, did I strike a nerve or what? The picture that I posted was definitely not a shot at Dayton, and I think that all of the credible posters on this board know that. I have much respect for the Dayton program, AND I have made that clear to a few of the Dayton posters in the stands when I met them last year. That pic simply represents two of the teams that I consider the class of Region 3. Brenham is only known for ice cream, huh? How about 7 baseball state championships, 3 football state finalists, and I don't know 5 or 6 football regional championships. By the way Blue Bell only pulled southern blackberry cobbler off the shelf in Crosby. Good luck against PLC this weekend. Oh, and just one more thing. Why the sudden irate concern over me posting that pic of E-Pat? I think the reaction is out of concern.
4. Greetings to all of my SE Texas friends. I will be the first to admit that I am a lurker, and have frequently visited the site, but was waiting for just the right time to chime in 2014. What better time than playoff time? Last year will be very hard to duplicate, as nobody in the state thought that the Cubs would make such a memorable run. I would say that the same holds true for 2014, as the defense had to be completely rebuilt, as well as the offensive line. I must say that I love our coaching, and feel that they will put these kids in a position to win each and every week. Throw out the meaningless rankings, as they are nothing more than a distraction. It's playoff time...Brenham Cub time, and just remember that they are the defending Region 3 Champs. We know that there are a lot of really good football teams out there, and it is refreshing to know that we are one of them. Good luck to each and every one of your teams. Looking forward to sharing this truly magical time of year with you all. Go Big Green
5. They run a triple option that is difficult to stop if they can hold onto the ball. Remember they went to the Region Final last year. Brenham was able to stop them. Should be a good game.

I was at the state semi game last year. Im not sure how many kids they graduated off of that team, but I will say this. They were HUGE up front, but not very quick. We were able to get penetration all day, and force those early pitches that caused the turnovers. They are not very good at passing the pall, as they were still running the option when they were down 42-14 in the second half. We got them rattled early and they were never able to recover. Expect a really big fan turnout by PLC, as they really follow their team well.
6. From what I understand this guy's(Johnson) grades were in the tank at BHS.  I am not sure if he will be eligible to play this fall if that is the case(at least until after the first six weeks period).  Not sure....just saying.  As far as the schedule goes....Not much to measure any team with that schedule.  Brenham should be strong defensively.  I am just concerned on the offensive side of the ball.  Regarless.....CAN'T WAIT!

I am originally from Dayton but have been living the Navasota area for the last 7 years.  I think it is great what this football team has done for the community.  It is awesome going to the games and having standing room only no matter what stadium we play it.  I don't think we will have that issue this week.  But then again all of Dallas might show up, could be the only time any real football goes on at the stadium this year.  I just don't see their defense being able to make enough stops to beat us.

Congrats to all the members of the football team that made all state.  Especially Austin Collins, both 1st team offense and 1st team defense.  I can say I have never witnessed that before.

Navasota 48
Gilmer 28
Agreed sir!  I have sat on Navasota's side for the last three games, and your fan support and involvement in the game is outstanding.  I will be in Arlington tomorrow to watch Navasota play.  As for the game, I must say that Gilmer is a very good program, and I think that this will be a hard fought game.  I do not see a blowout in this game.

Navasota-28
Gilmer-24

Navasota best in Texas on any level!
Katy.
Best in 3A & probably 4A.  I can think of a few 5A teams like Katy that would be to handle Navasota.
After seeing them play twice, I think they beat the remainder of the field in 4A.  They are loaded at all positiions.

I am new to this site and am tired of talking about the game but I will give my opinion. First off, I will congratulate the rattlers on a great performance but I agree with coach Thompson we did help a lot and beat ourselves. I agree the fumbles were just good hits but the picks were unforced. Our qb is a hard worker but I just don't feel he's a big game performer he did this last year. I feel like we have great offensive players who should be given a chance. Every turnover came while we were driving downfield. I also feel our playcalling was too conservative as they were just waiting for our qb to run and the bubble screens They knew we couldn't throw deep on them. We should've mixed it up and gave other people a chance we have a good qb with a rifle arm and good running backs who don't even get a chance. As for our "vaunted" defense. They forced 2 early turnovers but got no help from the offense and eventually tired out. I also saw their "dominant" o line get away with holding A LOT. Again great game rattlers but if the shoe was on the other foot and you had several turnovers and lost you would say you beat yourself too. Oh, one more thing, #60 was nauseous the whole game and kept getting punched by the "innocent" rattlers in the stomach and he just finally lost it. That doesn't make it ok but just because you don't get caught doesn't make it ok to taunt and shove and throw punches.
The WOS QB had only two interceptions all year long, and last night he had three.  I would think that maybe they were forced.....just saying.

I was at the '86 Brenham/WO-S game in Huntsville and probably saw you play and no it wasn't a beatdown but a very good game, 17-7, I think.  Wasn't a relaxing moment until it was over.  Navasota proved last night that they are the real deal, and I'm pulling for them and Region III.
Well, it was 23-7.  It was 7-7 at halftime, and WOS was the better team, no doubt!!

Man, I gotta take my hats off to Navasota's fan base.  Not only was the home side of Turner Stadium at capacity, but the fans are almost as intense as the football team.  I think that most of Brenham's fan base should take a lesson from this.  Good luck to Navasota..
