I hear that we got a couple of transfers that are in the basketball program at BH now, one 6'5" (don't know anything about him and one 6'2" pretty good Crosby Sr. (#10 in the picture on the crosby website) should definitely help us out.

BH is better than last year also. I can't wait.

Yessir, good luck to Sterling!

guess I watched different scrimmage. during "controlled" BH didn't play agreed formation and they did very good. During live Sterling dominated and won scrimmage 4-3. Both teams played well considering no set starting lineups played each snap. Scrimmage's are for film and evaluations. just remember most BH kids are actually Baytown Kids :-)
Well, one thing is for sure... we did watch much different scrimmages. I'm not sure which one you watched or you may have left early, but I was at the varsity game and watched the game in its entirety. It is only a scrimmage and I don't put much stock in scrimmages and it really doesn't matter, but after I read your post I went back and watched the "entire" scrimmage again on video just to make sure I wasn't off base. 115 total plays were ran in the scrimmage, about 80 in the "controlled scrimmage" 10 of those being started from the 20 (red zone attempts). During these 80 plays coaches were on the field the entire time and no extra points were attempted (controlled). Sterling scored 4 times - a pass play (play #24) a QB 8 yd scramble (play #80) and a pair of passing TD's (plays #81, #82). BH's only score was on a 10 yd run (play #77). With the exception of Sterlings 1st score, all of the TD's occurred with the teams starting from the 20 (red zone attempts). Controlled portion... Sterling 4, BH 1. The teams then took a 10-15 min break (lots of people assumed it was over and started leaving at this point). Play #83 was the start of "live play" (field goals kicked, coaches on sidelines etc.) Sterling did not score while BH scored twice and made both extra point attempts. BH scores were on a 42 yd run (play #90) and a 15 yd QB scramble (play #108). Live play. BH 14, Sterling 0.

I know I shouldn't put too much faith on scrimmages, but the new defensive coordinator has the BH defense looking good. It should provide for a very good game.

Honestly guys I'm new to posting comments on this site. I wasn't even going to comment until I saw GCMPats2 comment "where are all the Hill posters" and I too realized that there has not been many BH posters lately. I have enjoyed reading all the posts on this site for a couple of years now, I just thought it was time to start sharing some posts since I am usually at all the games.

Poor choice choice of words... nothing negative meant by it, Baytown Sterling has a good football program, I just heard that Sterling has only a handful of returners and are supposed to be in a rebuilding year thats all.

No doubt Silsbee is looking good this year, but I got BH by 10.

During the "controlled scrimmage" portion of the game, coaches on both sides were trying lots of different kids / packages. Sterling scored the only td during this portion of the game on BH backup secondary that was out of position. During the qtr of "live gameplay" BH defense pretty much shut down sterling's offense. The BH offense scored twice, once on a long run by the qb & the other on a long run by the fb. I'm not getting overly optimistic & I know its Baytown Sterling we're talking about, but BH did pretty good considering. BH Defense looked very salty.
Roll Call!!!! What game are you attending Friday Night?
