Talked to his son today when he was eating at my work tonight and today was his last day in lumberton and no idea where he is going now
Pretty sure its Vidor. Good for Vidor, Ltown is loosing a good coach and great person. Someone mentioned parents...Yall may shoot me down but thats exactly right. parents talking to board members and administrators caving in to board pressure. Alvin will be much better off away from LISD politics. The exodus from Lumberton may just be getting started.
Babin better stay put in Dville.

I agree. ;) -

If Creuder leaves, will Chris Babin be open to coming back to Lumberton?
Babin is off limits. 8) ;D
LMAO!!! DP do you need a big bottle of Pepto Bismol?
Might need more than that. ;D ;D -

Brinson, Davis, Davis, Gary, Womack, Lemen, McHenry, Johnson, Bussell, Wood, Ashworth.

We will lose 11 seniors. Yeah that TE will be headed off to TLU.
-
Good luck to Elysian Fields next season as well.

Another important part of the Deweyville backfield is Brendon Waldrep. He can play anywhere in the backfield.
True. But I was just stating seniors. Brendon got utility player. -
Deweyville soon to be seniors that are key players.
Ryan Collins (RB)
Cody Dupuy (QB/S)
Damian Craig (TE/LB)
Mitchell Brown (OL/DL)
Cole Nelms (OL/DL)
Colby Hryhorchuk (FB/OLB) -
I know there's been a couple changes in Deweyville's schedule. We don't scrimmage H-F and I think we are going to schedule Legacy instead of Sabine Pass. But I'm not sure. Don't take my word for it..

Who threw this game?
Howell had 11 ks 3 BB
McHenry had 2 hits (sgl/dbl) and also flashed some nice leather on 3rd base. Pirate Defense had 1 error.
That's what I like to hear. Great job Pirates. Playoff bound baby!!
Lots of baseball left to play before talking about playoffs. Pirates got here by taking it one game at a time. This District is tough, anything can happen.
I'm confident that we can district. But you are right, take it one game at a time. -

The slot-t has helped Vidor go far in the playoffs the last couple years and helped East Bernard win the state championship in 2A, quite easily I should add. There's nothing wrong with the slot-t if you can run it, and run it right.

Back away from the HD coaching staff! I repeat BACK AWAY! I am not afraid to get HDBobcat55 and HDbobcat9 and come to Vidor to find you!
Man, now my indigestion is flaring up!
I was right ;D ;D ;D
Haha. It's serious business around here. HD has been floundering around for several years, we are super excited about our staff and the potential they have to resurrect our program.
I saw rumors on other boards that Maud was making calls to Coach Finney! I sent a swat team to Maud and eliminated that threat.
Imagine if HJ had gone after Babin. You would've freaked too. haha... 8)

You have a point there lol -

If Vidor's OC is headed to H-J as the new coach there the Pirates are in need of a new OC. Mathews doesn't call the plays so this is a pretty pivotal position for them. here are some guys that could be possiblitlies.
1. Brian Huckabay- former Orangefield head coach who is now OC at Hull-Daisetta and runs the Slot-T. Is friends with Mathews and both from Bridge City so they'd probably work together well. Will be seamless transition as they run the same offense. Huckaby is a masterful play caller.
2. Greg Neece- Probably on borrowed time in Kirbyville so why not get back to doing what he does best- running an offense . Plus he already lives in Vidor so it will be a shorter commute for him. Only complication is the Wing-T is what he runs but it isn't too far off from Mathews' slot-T.
3. More than likely Vidor will not have the money for an experienced OC and Mathews will promote some random assistant already on the staff.
Don't get the HD fans freakin out. 8) ;D ;D -
Standings after yesterday, I think.
1. Deweyville (4-1)
2. East Chambers (3-1)
3. Kountze (3-2)
4. Hardin (2-3)
5. Anahuac (0-5) -

There is now dirt in that huge dip!! The stadium is actually moving about 100 yards into those woods that were on the scoreboard end of the stadium. The new field house will be sitting on about the old 25 yard line. The new goal line will be pretty close to where the 50 yard line was. Add in more depth for a track, plus the shot and disc area going on the far end and it is a completely different look now for SA.
Yesterday they started putting down the layers for the track (lime, followed quickly by limestone soon etc). Plumbing is going in for the field house, will probably pour the slab for it in the next week or two.
Now we know why they needed so much money. That was a huge dip lol. Can't wait to see it finished!! -
Did they have to put dirt in that huge dip at the end of the field with the scoreboard or did they leave that?
-
Hubbard is an excellent guy, if SA gets rid of him they're insane. I've heard nothing of praise come from people that talk about him. Dang good coach too.
-
I can't believe Coach Hubbard applied for this job. :o

It should be one of the better games of the season. I'm thinkin San Augustine, Corrigan, Groveton, and yall will be our toughest competitors.
Pirates will take this district again this year none of these teams will be able to stop the pirates running game. It will be A sight to see Come on AUGUST I AM READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL. LOL
Nobody was able to stop our running game last year anyways, we stopped ourselves with costly turnovers.
Can't beat EF with 5 turnovers. That's what cost us games. We gained more yards than Corrigan, just too many turnovers.
