  1. Who would’ve thought?  Wow.  This cannot be acceptable.  At the end of the day.. You’re failing those athletes, those young men that put on those pads. They are the students and if you have a teacher that doesn’t know how to lead.. How do you expect them to succeed?  Coaches are graded on Ws Ls, and when those Ls come at the most critical times (playoffs)..then you start to realize that.. You know what..maybe they are just not up to the task. Maybe they just don’t have what it takes.. Move on..coaches come and go.. It’s the nature of that job.  I’m pretty sure you ask any coach and they can say...they know what it is.  You win everyone loves you..you lose..you gotta go. Harsh. Yes. But it is what it is.  I’m not saying I ME MYSELF can do any better..because of course. I’m not a coach. But I’m sure there’s a more capable coach somewhere out there.. Just waiting for the opportunity to take over the reigns of a school with the caliber athletes Memorial has.  It’s time to move on.

  2. What a game.  Memorial forgot to get on the bus.  Overwhelming lack of preparation and heart.  Coaches game plan…was.. Non-existent..not even sure what it was.  They couldn’t get anything going on offense.. They didn’t want that game man.  They went in there unprepared.  That’s on the coaches.  Big time.  The players..lacked the will to wanna win…lacked concentration.  They were not focused out there.  The defense..wow.  They made y’all look bad out there.  What happened?  Y’all have to be better than that. It’s only one week.  But the way of defeat…is inexcusable.  It’s all done now though.  Turn the page and on to next week.  The team as a whole needs to really get it together..quick.

Credit to the Hill.  They went out there and took care of business.  They hit PA with a left then a right…and just kept swinging..lol. Memorial couldn’t do anything about it.  Great job to you guys.

  3. It’s going to be a good game.  Memorial..honestly.. Y’all just have to play y’all’s caliber type game.  Nothing extra..nothing outta the norm..just play your game.  You all ARE the better team.  Regardless of anybody’s opinion.  Y’all are the team ranked 4th in the state.  Cut out all the chatter.. Leave it for us..  Go out there focused, play hard, play smart, just simply..play your game.  Comes down to… How bad do you want it??

  4. This was a nice solid win.  Saw a lot of good things throughout the game.  On the same note.  I saw a lot of things that there’s work to be done on (even with the score, it can be deceiving considering how bad GCM is).  Overall though, great solid team win.  Regardless of the score…nothing to brag about here.  You simply did your job.  What you are expected to do..  Nothing to celebrate.  Simple district win on the way to bigger things.  Take the lessons and on to the next.   Not saying don’t be proud of the win, but you have bigger fish to prepare and be ready for than to lose focus over a win on a team like this.  Little mistakes are far more scrutinized when it’s a tight close game against a solid opponent..  GREAT JOB…ON TO THE. NEXT.

The only thing I was personally worried about at the half was injuries, kinda knew the 2nd half was going to be VERY physical.

Indeed it was.  Memorial flipped the switch after the recovered KO fumble.  You could feel it on the first drive.  They only managed a FG, but you knew there were about to start cookin’.. It was on after the fumble..

Lol. Not hating at all, our season is over. PAM has not played to their potential all year, until the 2nd half of this game. I always pull for the underdog, that’s why I was hoping PAM would win. LaPorte has looked better than them all year…..until the last 24 minutes of tonight.

Underdog?? That makes sense…you were actually rooting for LaPorte.. It’s really what you meant to say.  THEY WERE THE UNDERDOGS…  Piece of advice…don’t put too much stock into games played or opponents.  Every team plays each team different… That’s why bad teams beat good teams all the time.   Crosby just hates on PA..it’s natural…it’s ok.. We’ve accepted it…that’s the way it’s always gonna be…lol

If I saw something different instead of the same stuff, I can feel different. I’m sitting on the visitor’s side and myself and other fans are calling the plays before it happens!!! That’s why I feel coaching is gonna hold them back. Heck I can see if they were going score for score… we will see… just remember i predicted this.

We’ll come back to this after the second half..  The game is far from over.

If this wasn’t LP, I’ll agree. PAM need 2 defensive stops and score every possession. LP IS JUST GONNA EAT CLOCK FROM HERE OUT.

What do you say when you’re completely wrong on this?   Heck…you might be right…but you don’t know bro…. You come off as a negative fake supporter if you ask me.  It’s one thing to point out where they messed up…it’s another thing assuming they’re gonna do what you’re saying…and portraying it as facts.

First rd and done…. After the PNG game, they struggle first half pretty much every game. no disrespect to LP, but playoff teams they will face is far better than LP. Maybe chalk it up to being a young team I guess, but coach Kline need to get his manhood back and his green notebook smh

This is why people find a problem with you at times.  Bro…you’re making predictions 5 weeks ahead.  You have NO IDEA what’s gonna happen in the final weeks.  Just chill man..believe..it’s not gonna be pretty but you have to believe mam.  I’m quick to point ou where they messed up…but not to the extent you take it.  It’s like it’s game over they’re done if you don’t see what you wanna see.

I would pump the brakes on giving Laporte the victory right now and saying they’re the better team. There’s still a whole other half to be played, but at the same time.. Memorial’s playcalling and defensive strategy has got to step up. It ain’t over…‘til it’s over.

Just because you won the first half doesn’t mean anything.  It simply means you came out swinging more than the opponent.  It’s not how you start…it’s how you finish.   Not saying it’s ok to see memorial down because they’ll come back.. Because you never want to be down…but it does mean the game is not over and THERES STILL A WHOME OTHER HALF TO BE PLAYED.

  11. This is crazy man.  I’ve said it many times before.  How can you not wanna be great at your job…it’s your dang career man.  I’m far from a coach but I saw a play action coming a mile away when they called that timeout.  I even told my brother watch the play action. These so called coaches on that sideline didnt see that man??? Come on man!!!! It was offensively the perfect time to call a play action.. DEFENSIVELY YOU HAVE GOT TO KNOW THAT MAN!!! This is sad to see man.

12-0 is no fluke lol you either score or you don't

someone missed a tackle, someone blew coverage, someone got a penalty which leads to someone else scoring

they don't give out TDs but anyway hopefully PAM doesn't get a fluke mentality and holds the throttle down the whole way, some of those teams PAM is gonna face in the playoffs can go up 12-0 and play hard the entire time

Don’t get so offended buddy.  It is what it is.  It’s a fluke in the sense that they should’ve never even been up 12-0.  The type of caliber team Nederland is at this point compared to Memorial.  It should’ve never started like that.  But it did nonetheless, and then Memorial scored 44 unanswered points.  Which goes with my statement that the 12-0 Nederland start was a fluke.  I know where you’re coming from on other teams getting those points and it can turn bad.  But I would like to think that most teams that go up two TDs on Memorial to start the game are a little bit better than Nederland is.  Therefore, it wouldn’t necessarily be considered a fluke in my sense.  I’m sure PA will be up for the challenge if it ever presented itself though…

The Titans had their starters in on those 2 late TD’s, don’t discredit those 2!

What was surprising was the fact that most of Ned’s big running plays came between the tackles. To me that INT in the end zone at the end of the game shouldn’t have even been called. You know you’re not going to win at that point and you’ve had success between the tackles most of the night, run the clock down and push one more across the goal line to end on a high note.

Also- really like the way the Ned kid (# 10) returns kicks. Freshman isn’t scared to run hard no matter how many times he gets lit up! Looking forward to seeing him in the backfield.

I did say Nederland earned them.  I gave them credit. But let’s acknowledge the game was out of reach by then as well..

I didn't see the last two TDs  I know at point Ned was up 12-0 (which for some reason they like to do and then lose)

hopefully PAM doesn't lose out, they seem to take an early exit come playoff time?

That 12-0 score was a fluke. Zero indication of what the game was really like.  2 late TD…I mean.. Nederland earned them, but game was out of reach by then.

The early playoff exits is why we can’t stress enough that the play calling just hasn’t been there.  Last year they took a step in the right direction and got 3 rounds deep.  My personal opinion… You continue to call games like you did last night.  You give yourself a legitimate chance to make it far.

Curious question here, if PAM had played like they did against PNG would they have got the win on Nederland?

I ask because last week PAM fans weren't happy yet they won. I guess I'm comparing scores of PNG scoring 7 and Ned getting 26 on the board.

    Just speculation

They definitely would’ve still got the win, but would not have scored as many points.  Plus Nederland game only looks closer than it really was because of the two late TDs…all in all..PA dominated that game.  See…it has to be understood that we that speak out are not saying the team itself is bad or plays bad.  They play to the best of their ability game in game out.  We know that.  It’s just the play calling that kept Memorial from scoring more points last week.  It could be troublesome come playoff time if they divert back to the way they called last weeks game.  BUT… As I stated in the other comment…that was much improved last night.
