2.
In all seriousness, will someone explain the vast differences seen so far in Gage vs Price? The one thing off the field that stands out is Gages ability to pat more backs and shake hands and kiss the young up and coming eaglets on their foreheads. I want to know the x's and the o's difference in the two.
Coach Gage's players like and respect him and want to win for him as well. He makes good players better and makes everyone else around feel like they are a part of the team. BH does not have as much raw talent as most of the larger schools in our district but we win due to the committment and character of the parents, students, and coaches. Coach Gage even works in the concession stand when there is a need during the basketball season, something Coach Price would have never done. Coach Price was aloof and just seemed to be going through the motions his last couple of years. It was time for him to move on to a school with lower expectations. Hence, C.E. King was a logical move, shy of retirement. He was probably shown the door at HF because they wanted to win also.  Sad :-[
Y'all won the game on the line of scrimmage IMO. The Walter boys had lots of big holes up the middle to run through. For BH to win, we have to be able to control the line of scrimmage and we couldn't do it. Congratulations to all of Crosby tonight. I am having my crow in a gumbo with lots of tobasco tomorrow. However, this humble pie I am eating in no way diminishes the fact that Crosby still sucks, big time.
 5.
If the rain holds off, I'll be there.
Sterling will not win a game this yr. No discipline in the entire school. The problems from the top down are too numerous to count. Consistant discipline, responsiblity, and respect. Lacking these virtues, everything becomes an uphill battle. That is where Sterling is today. They could use another Al Dennis and an admin. to back him up.
 6.
It's raining but I don't see any lightning. Good luck trying to break down in front of the twins on a wet field. Y'all couldn't tackle them last year on a dry one. Ask LilTex what we do when we're forced to run in 'cause of the weather. 8 returning starters total on O and D for the Mound this year, some of your defensive starters hurt. Good luck trying to keep Crosby under 40. And another thing, is there actually a Barbers Hill fan that thought they had a chance to win the game once the whistle blew, don't get caught up in the score. Y'all got dominated in every aspect of the game.
Are you talking about last yr? We may have lost by a touchdown but we were a long ways from being dominated. No overconfidence this yr. We shall see in a few hours. If your team wins you have my congratulations. If not, eat CROW!
 7.
How does the weather look for tonight in Crosby?
Overcast and gloomy with a few crosby teardrops.

Stay tuned ;)
All you need to know is Crosby's jv rolled everybody except Dayton last year with 6 sophomores on varsity, 9-1. Those are the kids you'll be playing tonight, along with a defense that has given up 13pts in the last 7 quarters. Bigger, stronger, faster version of the twins with some receivers that flat out go. Justin Walter(twins older cousin), and Singleton are matchup nightmares for the Mound especially if y'all have players missing in the secondary. I would hold off on that rain dance too, the worse the weather the more Austin gets it.  I don't care if y'all do run it for 250, you won't have more than 50 passing. You're going to see tonight what a 19-4a title contender really looks like. We won more than one game last year, something neither one of your previous opponents can claim.
BH will probably rush for 400yds. if we leave the 1st team in longer than one half. Crosby had better score their touchdowns quick because they won't get many possessions. Probably only get to kick off once; either at the beginning of the game or the beginning of the 3rd. qtr, depending on the flip of the coin. ;D
#9 is Matthew Tillett. He also was a starter in the secondary last year I think. If not he played a lot. He is a head hunter all over the field.

The two  ofensive gaurds had horrible games. I'm pleased with the offense for now. They just need keep imporving each week. I'll take Jenkins over Toney Brown.Brown may be a little over rated
Try racing him in the hurdles :D
Well, as you can see from your "Barbers Hill 2011 district champs" note there hasn't been much for y'all to cheer about since you became 4a. Definitely not any playoff wins. You won't have anything to cheer about Friday night either, unless some of the band parents show up. I see you say the Mound is Dayton's daddy, but y'all are Crosby's stepchild. We love playing the eagles, y'all are the antithesis of slow, basic, overachievers. I don't think y'all took us lightly last year. I think once we ran three plays, had 14 points and got you in a hole y'all couldn't run that pee-wee offense. Threw one right over the top and then Walter went 75 on a swing pass next possession. Nederland ran it but they killed us with the pass plays. Y'all have the same qb as last year and I've seen him throw, it's nothing to be excited about. Neither are his passing numbers this year. Trying to Vidor us to death is y'alls only hope and I think Riordan is ready. Y'all know what the twins bring to the table, but you will be thoroughly impressed with the defense and receivers. In Crosby, district opener, hated rivals, Riordan might run it up, 42-21 Coogs. Too much everything for y'all.
Look coog you can try your Jedi Mind trick on someone else. Crosby athletes are sub par at best. You have a set of Twins and then the rest of the team ;D If Crosby was as explosive as you lead to believe then they wouldn't have poped a fire cracker on Ned. We have taken out Ned the last two years, so we know all about them.  We have delt with the Crosby speed plenty and have two district titles with the kitty cats in our district. Like it was said when we played last year the game meant absoulutly nothing, this year it does! Hope there are some Crosby heads Friday because BH is bringing the HAT 8)
Is Crosby still the dirtiest playing team in the district like they were two yrs. ago when we spanked em in their own house?
 14.
Coogs win by 2 TD's. Crosby has the same defensive coordinator as they've had previously. Chuck has more tools to play with than I've ever seen before, Crosby's D looks really good this year, they've had one bad half this year, and i think Bh's only chance is to jump on the D early (Like Nederland did) and hold off the mad rush from the twins, i don't think BH is up to that challenge and the cougs pull away in the second half.
The BH offensive line will be the difference this year. Our team will be more focused and respectful of Crosby's explosiveness this year. We had already clinched the district by the time we played Crosby last year and wern't mentally in the right frame of mind. Crosby can't stop our offense this year. BH 42 Crosby 21
And two weeks in a row we get no linescores in the Chronicle. I guess we won't exist unless we beat a houston school. How in the world can they leave Dayton out of the standings entirely? I guess that is what we should expect from such a liberal rag. The only reason I subscribe is for the Sat. morning sports section. The editorial pg. reads like it is straight from the Pravda.

It's a cool thing to see knowing that their main sport is soccer yet they want to play American football. And your right I wish then the best of luck maybe they will rake it easy on them  ;D overall it was a good game bh defense sure isntwhat it was last year and it shows.
I didn't think the D was that bad. The only reason the Tigres scorred was because they got great field location after some bad plays/penalties from the offense. Both times they scored they got the ball around the 40 yardline. BH's kickoff team scared me a couple of time as the tigres got some good returns! that has to get shored up quick.
Christian Thames(the kicker) had to make at least two of the tackles on the Tigres returns.

I like the idea myself, if they are a decent challenge.  We need some competition, especially considering since there is none north or east of us.  ;) ;)
We fed them after the game tonight. They got pizza, cheeseburgers, chips, candy and a drink. It took some serious explaining to do, even with an interpreter, to describe to them what boudain is. But they tried it and liked it. We gave them the hot version. They can't be too bad if they like boudain. I thought they were a class act.
