If you can’t tell the difference in the stuff I post and a guy that says FBM can play within 14 points of North Shore or Katy then that’s on you. I’ve drank a lot of Johnny Walker and posted on this site before and never said anything like that.

Check the Manvel vs FBM series record tho?  Just sayin'.  You can base the series on the last couple years if you like as it'll help your argument.  FBM had some special kids the past few years and it has shown but you are hallucinating. SC along with Klien Collins played NS well early in the year ... line them up now and NS will destroy both. The physicality of Katy would cripple Marshall the first couple drives as one can not simulate that in practice. I like FBM but lets be real... They a monster is 5A Div 2 but lets not go crazy. 

Folks drive me crazy with the team comparisons to teams who haven't played. FBM is hard to gauge because we know they haven't played anyone all year its not debatable. They really should schedule a NS, Katy, or Ridge point early in the year.  What we do know is they have a ton of speed on the field. 
As for Huntsville they lost because they should've lost. TEAMS win football games that includes staff and players. Don't come trying to tarnish our victory. Crosby made their mistakes as well. If you take away Huntsvilles timeout snafu take away Crosby's  pooch kick. We still win. Crosby was the better team. Re-run it with everyone healthy and we probably beat em worse. Knocked off the #5 then knocked off #4 number 3 is on deck.

Manvel over Hightower

Manvel by 28+

Manvel is probably going to win by 20 this time. Hightower’s defense gives up too many points to athletic teams and Manvel has been rolling up 500+ yards of offense like nothing. 

Im taking Hightower. Thursday night.

This match up is one of the harder ones to call IMO. Willowridge has gotten better each week and so has Crosby. I'm taking the Eagles in a scoring fest.

Very true. Wasn't a knock on this years team. Just have seen a ton of Manvel games over the years and your right they are still better than most any other teams in our region.

Willowridge has a few slippery kids with a crafty QB.  I don't think they can go 4 quarters with Ned but if it comes down to a few possessions they have a  playmaker or 2 that can be an issue. Hoping for a injury free game... Good luck to both.

Loved reading this post. It's a 100% fact that this Manvel team isn't better than our teams of the past... AISD ensured that with the new zoning.
With that said, Manvel doesn't have to be better than our teams of the past... we just have to be better than that team across the field. Even if it's only for one night. 
 

Kam Scott was also a stud. Both kids were big athletic and extremely fast. Believe both were top 100 players in Texas. This years Manvel doesn't have kids at the receiver position even close to those kids abilities.

They don't have Jalen Preston anymore and that is a BIG help. He was the wr that was tearing up the playoffs and nearly beat Highland Park before being tackled on the 1

I learned a couple things last night.
1) Manvel isn't near as good as we have been in the past.
2) Crosby isn't near as bad as I thought they were. 
I can think of a million reasons why Manvel loss but it boils down to one... Crosby's will to win a ball game last night. You guys have reason to be proud and it wasn't so much about "WHO" they played but "HOW" they played. Crosby kids fought until the bell and earned my respect. That's 100!

Excellent coaching job by the Cougar staff. I think it’s safe to say they’re one of the upper tier units in the Houston area. After spotting Manvel 21 points adjustments were made on both sides of the ball and the clock was managed beautifully in a close game.
Not going to lie, lost a fingernail over the decision to kick the field goal on 4th and a short 2 yards versus going for it deep in Manvel’s territory when points looked like they would come at a premium for Crosby. Those three points turned out to be the difference though. That’s the reason Coach Riordan is the all-time winningest coach in Crosby history and I work at a refinery.
