    Manvel by 10+. Manvel has the weapons to destroy teams once they get rolling and possibly fielding the best LB core in school history. Minus the hype...

    Manvel returned its best WR, LB, SS, DE and DT from last years team. The young QB will have to play well to outscore a team like Crosby, therefore the defense has to make stops and give him the opportunity to find rhythm. The kid knows the O better than any "1st time starting" QB Manvel has fielded and ALL of them are D1. The kid is a flatout winner hence his 7 on 7 performances. If Manvel line up and call aggressive/nasty football I think Crosby is in for a long night. On the other hand... get to pretty and the upset is on. Netherly is the truth and he has plenty of help around him.

    ​The truth is Dauphine was nursing a hamstring, Manvel won the race but if anyone knows how Dauphine finishes the 200 meters you could tell he was clearly/slightly injured.

    ​Ok but earlier Corey ran a hell of a 3rd leg on the relay. 2nd... Deontay Anderson ran a 20.99 folks. Corey hadn't ran a time that fast all year (healthy or not) if I'm not mistaking. I don't want to  take anything away from Corey because he is without a doubt a monster on the track but can Deontay get some credit for his performance. Kid ran a 20.99 after coming in with the slowest qualifying time at the state meet.

    Everyone who watched the race said same thing, Dauphine did not run through the finish. Andersons 20.99 is awesome and he did what he was supposed to do but Dauphine was ahead entire race and in last 20 meters he slows and Anderson goes by him. I don't think CD would say he let up and made a stupid choice if it weren't true. Guy isn't making an excuses, He put blame squarely on himself

CD is a beast just wasn't his day. Just look at the camera angle @ 2:37:38 and tell me who was leading before they even hit the 40 yard marker?

    Dauphine admitted he let up and never saw Manvel runner in lane 2 from lane 7. Dauphine was leading until last 20 meters.
    It didn't cost memorial the title in long run. Manvel had to finish 4x4 fourth or better and they were second in photo finish. Manvel knew what they wanted and went and got it done. Period so congrats to both teams

    Let up? Leading? Maybe he didn't see Anderson but DEONTAY was right there the whole race. 20.99 was DEONTAY'S best time ever... And it just happened to beat the best kid on the track that day.

    Actually, you have this backwards. Pearland came back from the two deficits, and missed the tying 2 pt. conversion with about 3:00 minutes left in the game. Manvel then ran out the clock. Pearland was playing without their 2 starting RB's. Good game from listening in.

    The starter they was missing hasn't did anything vs Manvel in 2 years. The kid they had last night is better, not faster but better. Kid has patience and hits the hole exacty how the play is designed.
