Sounds like you're kind of hung up on the refs. Both teams had calls that hurt them. The refs were not a deciding factor in that game. The players committing the infractions are the ones that put their teams in jeopardy. The Oline has held up enough for Cooper to have a pretty good year passing.

I never said the refs were the deciding factor. I said the ref's were bad IMO. I guarantee that wasn't a block in the back that erased that TD. That TD could have changed the play calling for NC in which they (IMO) would have had issues handling the blitz from Crosby if forced to throw their way back into the game. Just my opinion though.

So is their O-line suspect ?

IMO yes when it comes to pass blocking. Problem is the scrambling ability of the QB. If you do not contain him you are in trouble. As far as the run game its decent esp with the dual threat at QB... Their play calling is good so the kept Crosby off balance once the ref's saved them.

New Caney's defense is pretty good. They shut our offense out in the second half but I'm sure our 100 yards in penalties helped. Central is playing with such a thin margin of error it's hard to see where they have advantages X's and O's wise. I think they give up 21 to New Caney on scheme alone.

Question is how many more do they give up from Marte Allison and Jordan Cooper making individual plays? I see Central gave up 100+ rushing yards and three tds to PNG's qb. New Caney's qb Cooper is a heavier, more physical runner who's very hard to contain off the read-option fakes. I would compare New Caney to PNG with a slightly less potent passing game but a more physical run game and better defense.

I think Crosby kill their D if Netherly was 100%.One time he ran into his own player and that was a TD IMO. WR's were open all over the field but he wasn't letting it go nor was he damaging them with the run. Crosby could have beat the brakes off those guys IMO. If the ref's don't call back that TD it puts NC in a position were they have to pass which their O-line was not going to hold up. Once they got that break they went to the ground with QB and made it a game. Ref's was off the chain that game.

  4. I went to the Crosby vs New Caney game last night. Crosby is good but they need to remove Netherly if he's hurt. To be honest the defense made stops when needed and saved a potential loss last night. Well the refs called a block in the back on a Crosby TD that was straight BS as well. Crosby is dangerous none the less and can make some noise. New Caney is a good team IMO... but those DB's can't stop the pass at all.

I haven't seen Vidor but last night they beat a very athletic team that is possibly under coached to say the least. I would not be surprised if their ball control offense puts them over the top. Wing T/Slot T is very hard to stop when it gets rolling... plus it kills the clock and keeps Crosby weapons off the field. Vidors confidence is sky high right now.

Should be a GREAT GAME!! Hard to call it!

Yes. Assuming that District 19-5A uses net points as a second tie breaker, that tie breaker would come into effect as the three teams are each 1-1 in head to head play if Georgetown loses to Connally.  Under that tie breaker, assuming an 18 point margin of victory cap, would be Rouse +8 (+18 for a 23 pt win over Georgetown and -10 for a 10 point loss to Hutto), Hutto +7 (+10 for a 10 point win over Rouse and -3 for a 3 point loss to Georgeown) and Georgetown -15 (+3 for a 3 point win over Hutto and -18 for a 23 point loss to Rouse).  That would give Rouse and Hutto the final 2 spots out 19-5A.  As both Rouse and Connally have larger ADMs than Cedar Park, that would push CP to DII.

    That's the correct scenario.

I worked with his brother when this happened,I never seen a video or anything but the family sure believed it to be intentional... but man y'all ain't ready for no manvel bro.

I've seen the video several times (of course not up close) and it was simply hands to the face freak type accident. Our coaches don't preach/teach the take someone out game. We always try to win a fair one.

It's  not  crying,  we/ I don't  forget! The first  defensive series of the game  he goes  out with an EYE injury while  wearing a  protective  sheild. Im sure that  was an accident. It's ok, we shall meet again soon!

Maybe a freak accident but intentional is flat-out BS. You know that... Quit crying/lying like you overheard someone from Manvel say "lets poke eyes out!" Yeah I hope we meet again... Same results coming up.

That  provides  nothing!  How does a kids eye almost  come out.  Believe me  it was intentionally  done. And  yes  we can play  rd 1 if you'd like.   We're ready!

Can you prove it was intentional for me to believe you? Quit crying about that BS and line up again. You guys tried to scare us prior to that game on these boards, then during warm ups ... hell even the coaches was on some BS staring our kids down. Then y'all got punished after the ball snapped. Sad part is y'all still crying years later. Line it up!

If Nederland/Central is able to make it:

    D1:

    PAM vs Porter

    Nederland/Central vs New Caney

    D2:

    PNG vs Barbers Hill

    Vidor vs Crosby

    If Livingston makes it:

    D1:

    PAM vs Porter

    PNG vs New Caney

    D2:

    Vidor vs Barbers Hill

    Livingston vs Crosby

That Porter team has impressed me thus far. I'd watch out for them.

I've been saying this  since that game. Manvel  purposely  took out  Romar! A finger to the eye  on first  defensive  series, plus he was wearing eye  shield. We owe Manvel! That wasn't an  accident.

This is the hidden content, please

Man don't sit up here and lie like that. Manvel didn't purposely take out anyone. This is why Romar went down. Romero was & still is a beast. Romar faced someone that was big, strong and nasty! I'm pretty sure he knew that from the linesman challenge or powerlifting meets. Manvel flat out beat PAM... just like we will do in round 2,4 hell we can play round 1 if y'all want to.
