1. Should be a good game...I think the Cubbies pull it out though. Brenham 24 Elgin      17
 2.
Did you play Nederland this year? Does BH have three D1 defensive lineman that are all 6'4, 275 and run 4.8's or better. Did you beat Nederland in the playoffs?
No, no and no.  But we did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Oh and we've stuffed everyone's running game since rearraging our D after the Crosby debacle.  Last time I checked those same three kids were there last year at Nederland when we won at their place.  You guys WILL NOT run the ball effectively and you WILL NOT put up more points than Summer Creek.
 3. BH is getting healthy at the right time.  They are going to bludgeon Livingston up front.  BH rarely has elite athletes but they play disciplined, hit you in the mouth football.  Livingston is about to find that out the hard way.  Not sure if Lions eat crow but y'all better look up some recipes because there is a hot plate of it coming your way Friday night.
 4.
Good game BH Fans ! I said repeatly, that the game is played on the field. Question of the day: What do yall think about the Ozen Panthers now ? Maybe Next Year ! OZEN -40 BH - 36
Pretty much every one of the BH fans (except for one rogue poster last night) has given Ozen their props.  No excuses made really.  Yall have an incredible athlete at QB and he singlehandedly raised everyone else's play.  Kudos to him and the Panthers and good luck the rest of the way.  If he can stay healthy you have a shot in any game. I guess maybe I haven't been on this site long enough or something but my God everyone hates BH.  I know we have a couple of inflammatory posters but most of what they do is in jest.  Maybe I'm just blind but I really don't see a huge difference (outside of maybe 3 BH posters) between BH, PNG, Dayton, Ned or Vidor posters.  Everyone supports their team and gives perspectives on the games each week mixed with with one-liners and sarcasm.  It seems pretty common across all threads.  Anywho....good luck to all of the SETX teams from here on out especially Dayton, our last hope for a victory in the Bi-District Rivalry lol. BH Eagles, thanks for a wonderful season and for giving me something to talk about in the summers and falls!  Its way better than actually working lol.
 5. Green is going to create problems for Brenham.  Is he going to beat them by himself?  Absolutely not.  He is an outstanding athlete with one of the best arms I've seen on a HS QB.  The quandry is....even if you play sound fundamental football, keep your gap assignments, no blown coverages, etc. he makes a "backyard" play that you just can't plan for.  Our LBs had him dead to rights in the backfield a couple times and he was able to escape and put it on a rope 50 yards downfield (not an exaggeration).  I guess the point of this post is....no I don't think Ozen will beat Brenham but Mr. Green will make about 4 or 5 "how in the he11 did he get out of that?" plays in this game.  Good luck to both teams, hope everyone stays healthy. Brenham 35 Ozen      20
 6.
I just want to clarify all the beating of Barber's Hill on the board. Although I know that most taking shots are all in fun and at the other posters, some posters need to remember that the players had nothing to do with the trash talk on the board and to not take shots at the Barber's Hill team or say stuff like "they had it coming." They played their hearts out and we have to remember that they are just 16, 17, and 18 year olds that should be encouraged on what a great season they had this year, even if they didn't go as far as they wanted. Great season and keep your head up BH, from a PNG fan.
Amen.  All of the smack by the majority of us over at The Hill has nothing to do with the hours of preparation and hard work these kids put in.  Many of them just took their pads off for the last time.  It was a pleasure watching them this season.  Thanks for keeping it in perspective Xaphoon.
 7.

Class, Class settle down ;D now eveone take a seat and breath 8) Very disappointed in the Eagles tonight and the lack of defense in the secondary! We were able to contain Jones, but Green threw all over us! Speaking of Green he was injured during the game winning TD and they took him off in an ambulance after the game. I hope he is alright because without him Ozen will be in trouble round 2! Congrats to Ozen no excuses from me, BH had opportunities to win this game and just couldn't cash in. Green had a heck of a game and the Ozen D stopped us when it counted. Goodluck Ozen and 20-4A in the next round! Dayton is our last hope to stop the sweep :'(
Thats a lie from heck! he is fine
Yeah I saw him after the game and he looked like he was getting around fine.  He took a hell of a shot from #40 and still delivered a strike for the game winner.  Very impressed by that young man.
 8. Game plan executed well by Ozen.  Hats off to them, unfortunately BH played Ozen's style of game and it cost them.  Definitely had some questionable calls offensively but we never should have put ourselves in that position to begin with.  BH played their hearts out until the last snap, just came up short.  It was a pleasure watching that senior class.  That QB for Ozen is a freaking stud.  If he played anything like he did tonight in district play he should be in the conversation for 20-4A Offensive MVP.  Congrats to the Panthers...those kids came in here and just took it from us.  Just have to tip your hat and appreciate a dog fight that you came up a little short on.  Good luck the rest of the way Panthers.
 9.

Seems like GCM's offensive series consist of a bunch of mediocre plays with one or two explosive plays. Inconsistent, but it has NEderland off balance so far.
Agree.  But, Neumann will make the adjustments in the locker room.  Go Bulldogs!
Sounds like Ozen in our game. That QB is all they have.
 10. 3rd and short and Reuter drills the RB for a loss. Better get used to those LBs dropping the hammer.
 11.

Can anybody tell me what the seating capacity is at the stadium preferably the visitor's side?
Capacity is 8500 /  not sure about visitor side, But I would guess approximately 2000-2500.  Don't hold me to that estimate on visitor side..
Home side is supposed to hold 5,500 so I guess Visitors would be 3,000?  Sure doesnt look like it could hold that.....
 12.
No that's the same team that put it on bh  gotta be scary for you guys
Not really. Just wish it was your little Indians we were beating up on tomorrow.
 13. Lets go Crosby!! Go dust those Pirates tonight!! 19-4A butt whippin' coming to ya LIVE!!
 14. Dolan (outside LB) and Reuter (inside LB) from BH are both studs.  Dolan has really came on strong the last half of the season.  I'd put him toe to toe with any LB in SETX.  Period.
 15.
Me thinks thou doth protest too much.
Man...you are a one liner machine  8) hahaha
 16. Unfortunately for Nederland all of the pink bingo stampers will be taken by then.....you can thank Central for that.
Whats  funny bmtsoulja1 who are yall playing this week again?
Just always remember this.  The ant mound is 0-fer vs. us.
Kind of like yall almost went 0-fer in district play this year.  Luckily yall pulled out the victory in that pillow fight against LCM.  Better luck next year.

I think Barber's Hill is highly favored and most likely going to win this game. I'll even venture to say they are a much better team than Ozen. But, I put Barber's Hill on high upset alert, not only because they just lost to a team that has a very similar back field as Ozen, but because Ozen can be world beaters one game, then be well below average the next. I think this is going to be a fine game to watch. If Ozen get momentum early, I wouldn't be surprised to see an upset.
I disagree.....Ozen struggled early in the year but finished the season strong. They have alot of weapons at there disposal and it seems like Green is just rounding into form after recovering from the injury early in the season.I have only saw film on Crosby but,IMO. Green and Jones have a slight edge over the two twins from Crosby and the gave The Hill fits.I think Ozen can very easily win this game if they play like they did at the end of the year.JMO
LOL .... You Ozen fans/players haven't seen a brick wall, like your about to see Friday night (not to mention the "multi-option" offense).... Crosby just got lucky because we already knew we were District Champs ..... the BH defense will be back to true form Friday night .... Oh yeah ... why is it only "O" fans picking "O" ??? ? MaxPreps Score Predictions:  Ozen 17, BH 31 HS Sports Predictions:  Ozen 18, BH 34 Dave Campbell's Texas Football Predicted Winner:  BH
Dude you cant be serious?  these predictions are largely based on records, and Ozen is 5-5 overall, so you can expect that more people will pick BH.  Not considering that BH plays in a watered down district and has not beaten anyone credible.  Just as you indicated that Ozen hasn't seen a "brick wall" like BH,(which is arguable), I guarantee BH has not had to defend a team with the personnel that Ozen has.  I expect to see a good game, and hope that BH approaches the game depending on Dave Campbell and your predictions to save them.
Haven't beaten anyone credible? How about your district's "undefeated" champion? Dayton and Crosby BOTH have the offensive personnel that Ozen has and then some.  Much like Vidor and PNG will find out this weekend, you will too my friend. 19-4A will be asserting some dominance, especially in Eagle Stadium at 7:30 pm Friday night.  I can promise you that the Panthers haven't played anyone that will hit them in the mouth like BH is about to do. Better snap those chinstraps up tight.
Ozen also scored more points and had alot more yards than BH did against Ned.
The common factor in these two games will be that BH had more points than both of them when the game was over.

 24. I keep hearing how well Ozen can stretch the field.  I can assure you that they don't want to try and take it outside too often.  The way Dolan has been playing you're going to be hard pressed to get outside of him with any consistency and 9 times outta 10 you're gonna get punished (when I hear his name called on the tackle I always flash back to Mike Gundy at his press conference, "I'm a man!!!  I'm 40!!! lol). The great part is...if you try to go outside the other way McSwain is over there licking his chops ready to drop the hammer too.  Oh yeah, you can always go up the middle if you'd like....thats where Reuter and Sexton roam around.  I would be willing to bet that these 4 guys are ready to make a statement after last week's mishap.  It's going to be fun to watch!
