It doesn't matter how many yards you have, ask Ozen. They had 200+ yards more than Nederland Friday night. What matters is the score when that last second tics off the clock. Friday night Nederland had more. I guess one could say that Nederland was just better at getting it done. I'm just saying!

Just from what I have seen with my own eyes.... And remember I picked Central over Lumberton.... Nederland is at a different speed... Soulja I told you yesterday, I think Nederland will win.. Lumberton had a good game plan.... Keep it simple and make very few mistakes..... But Neauman has a staff light years ahead of anyone In the district.... And he has Krautz..... If Central puts together a run oriented gameplan, I think they have a shot.. But you know me, I'm talking pound the rock 40 times with Whaley.... If he does that, which means control the clock and pound the rock, and make no mental errors... Central IMO has a shot... Nederlands D is scrappy, small, but scrappy, and they have some speed. I think they are one of the top 2 teams in the district... But on the other hand I can see Central hanging in because of Whaley... I think a 4 man front will slow Whaley... And I think in pads, Krautz is the quickest back in the district.......

My takeaways from the game:
1. Both defenses need A LOT of work.
2. LeBaron played outstanding in the first half.
3. The officials were clueless all night both ways.
4. Shaq Long played his heart out and was the difference.
5. Nederland dropped way to many passes. I counted at least 5.
6. Austin Krautz is a hoss. We should have given him the ball more at the end instead of forcing passes.
7. Dayton showed a ton of resiliency and heart to come from behind in a game that they frequently trailed by 2 scores.
8. Both teams had way too many dumb penalties.
9. Both teams better improve big time on defense if they want to make playoff runs.
10. Nederland special teams needs more work.
 
All in all a fun game to watch. Ned looked really good first half and Dayton looked really good second half. Two teams with totally different styles that will be a tough out every week. Good luck the rest of the way, Broncos.

I myself do not think this group will look past Anyome after a 0-3 start they know what they have in store a big target on their back in district play they do not want to be the group that let it end Go dogs 1 game at a time

I don't think Nederland is really good enough to be talking about when they are going to be pulling starters against GCM, just my opinion.  If GCM plays turnover free ball, this game will be a contest.  Still think Nederland wins.

It looks like this will be a quick game GCM tends to rush way more than they pass, and also they give up quite a bit of rushing yards.  Your right Jake, they also have a lot of turnovers.   Ned needs to play their game and give them a heavy dose of Seay, Barton and Krautz.

To me playing them last is better hopefully to lick our wounds get ready for the playoffs better than going in all beat up like some will be lol

I don't think the team will take GCM lightly, they are playing for too much .

I see the Dayton PNG game being a shootout and you could run the ball on them, but I think you'd end up throwing it more and they would make more plays. Just an opinion though that doesn't mean squat. Oh their kicker is pretty dang good, they always have really good kickers there.

Yea, we respect what y'all are doing, but we aren't phased by y'all talent. We have horses just like y'all have horses. Matter of fact, I think that it'll be cool if King and Central met for the first time ever.

The long ball isn't going to work on Central. Unless it's mixed in with a trick play. Somehow some way feed Halfin the ball with productivity. This will be a game where your best defense is the offense. Keep Central offense off the field.

If the Pirates gave up 48 to GCM and 36 to Ozen, I promise you that Central will score more than 28...

This PNG team is different from last year. Different style QB, more weapons at WR. It won't come down to a last minute FG.
 
 
Indians will make a statement after the Ned lost.

Stats can sometimes look good on paper then on the other hand. How well the game is played makes the real difference. PN - G will find something in their purple bag of tricks to win ---- 34 ---- 32 ----  I can picture the Indians playing better this week.

Best quote on this all to long thread... Neumann has created a program that is just better than everyone else in the district... And that's the bottom line... You can build a indoor facility, a new stadium, and wear 30 different uniforms... But at the end of the day numbers don't lie... 1-5..... Sleep on that for a while.... I've watched our practices and they are by no means anything like a Nederland practice... It shows... Mental toughness, team work, and good coaching go a long way. Keeping your coaching staff in tact as well goes a long way.. Don't be surprised if this streak last longer than expected.....

I would'nt be surprised if it came down to the last play, just like Ned and Central, and Ned and PNG, not predicting a score right now but I believe both teams will be in the 30's.
