Congrats to Vidor on pulling off a playoff spot.  To soccerinsider.  surely you could do better if someone was undermining your every game and every move.  The team he has is a quality group of young men and he is doing what it obviously has taken to get them to the next round. That is a great thing considering the even district they are playing in.  Seems like soccerinsider should go back into coaching and show us how him how its done. Congrats to Wedel and the Vidor Pirate soccer team.

Well either the spring break rule where kids failing can play helped Ozen and HF or your correct they are looking ahead to the rivalry.

I can vouch for Coach W.  on the part of .. You cannot care what parents think either.  If they are your best friend or your worst enemy , doesnt really matter.  Only thing that matters , the only thing...Is the kids on the team. If they agree with the coach and beleive in the coach.  Parents dont play the games, and parents dont practice the kids.  Parents are not part of the team.  They are supporters of a team.  You have to do it for the kids.

So if I read this rite,  Lumberton missed two pks.  Is this true.  And how far was the Silsbee free kick that your saying is 60 yards.  That would be quite the free kick. 

Anyone not understanding.. THIS WAS THE KELLY GIRLS state championship game.  I was so into the game I had an ex player there. I made him leave his phone on so i could listen to the final minutes.  Just because its amazing they put six on  team that probably has NEVER had anyone put 6 in on them in the last ten years.  WAY TO GO KELLY GIRLS.. Makes the kelly nation proud.  NEVER GIVE UP.. way to go ladies proud of you ..

Yes the players were getting tired as the game was fast paced.  The players were nervous so,  griping at them and being firey is to keep them focused on job at hand.  And to help find some energy inside them they didnt realzie they had.  I LOVE playoffs.........

Kelly mens soccer will play TCA out of Dallas area at 3pm on Tuesday.  Game was originally suppose to be played on Saturday but like everyone else weather and travel for them kept it from happening. Winner plays  San Antonio Central Catholic/Harlingen Marine Military Academy on Saturday.

UIL allows one game on Monday thru Thursday .  Unless due to weather or emergency would they allow changes in this.  

As I said before on here... Its nothing to do with what day of the week it is.  Its the weather.  Look how nice it was yesterday.  With that the people wont mind coming out and watching some soccer.  Last year our second round playoff game at Kelly we had a great crowd , several hundred people were there an it was the loudest game we have participated in.  And it was in the 60s and sunshine flooded the stadium.  Great weather brings great support

Understood.  And I appreciate your coming out and watching.  I have trained teams in Mid County for last 25 years and the last group I have worked around are now seniors at Nederland. There is no doubt that club is a foundation of soccer in high schools.  But the best part is when you play around the state or in Louisiana, you actually now have soccer guys coaching soccer, or soccer ladies coaching soccer girls.  The guy that posted club soccer be damned hopefully was just being a bit of a joker.  He doesnt understand what was already written on the subject, It was put between sports in publick school to fbe the path of least resistance.  I appreciate the support at our games and enjoyed watching the girls team easily work over Houston Christian.  Great game Lady Dawgs.

I can say diffent styles of play are wonderful.  If you are athletic and fast then run em in the ground.  However sooner or later someone else is going to be faster than you and when you cant outrun them, you may want to have learned to play soccer. Knock the ball around, pass it and move it until a chance on goal presents itself.   I let our team play long ball in a district match because the other team was so slow and allowed us to do this.  However our team is capable of changing the style and playing possession if need be.  More importantly,  its what we do, for the players that I have to work with.  So people with different athletes will play different styles so,  that is where the coaches come in. What to run, with what we got.
