At least a share of first place is on the line in a battle of Orange County teams as the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears take the short trip down Highway 87 to be the homecoming guests of the Bridge City Cardinals! Randy Crouch's Bears, 2-2 on the season, started off District 10-4A-I play on the correct foot as they defeated Silsbee 58-38 last Friday. Dwayne DuBois' Cardinals, 1-3 on the season, also started off district play with a win, a 34-22 win over Cleveland last Friday.   11. Most coaches do. It takes away one BIG headache that they have to worry about, especially at the bi-district round. For most area 5A fans, it will be good because at worst you are getting a game in the Houston area and might get another game 5 minutes away from home. Of course, if West Brook slips up against Lufkin, Bruin fans might view this new rule, which would probably mean a bi-district game in Longview, less favorably.
