  6. And yes, my mind is a little mushy right about now.
  7. It wouldn't have taken Gabe Pruett or Tom Haliburton until 9:15 on a Thursday night to get this article online.
  8. Is that the same source that told you that Atlanta will get past bi-district? No, they are not reliable....
  9. The Livingston Lions close out their 2017 football campaign as they travel to Beaumont to take on the Ozen Panthers. Brian Broussard's Lions, 0-8 on the season and 0-7 in district play, fell to Beaumont Central 55-7 last weekend. Meanwhile, the Panthers, 1-6 on the season and in district play, fell to Port Neches-Groves 48-0. Join Ken Luck and Clint Davis for all of the action from the Carrol A. "Butch" Thomas Educational Support Center in Beaumont beginning with the kickoff at 7 pm by tuning your radio to KETX 92.3 FM or by clicking on the following link: [Hidden Content] Follow Livingston Lions' Football on The Eagle, KETX 92.3 FM and Your Source for Sports in Southeast Texas, SETXsports.com!
  10. A share of the District 10-4A-I championship (and possibly all of it) is on the line tonight as the Bears host the Navasota Rattlers! Randy Crouch's Bears, 4-3, improved to 3-1 in district play with a 32-27 win over Cleveland last Friday. Meanwhile, the Rattlers, 5-4 on the season, stand at 3-1 in district after a 33-6 win over Bridge City last Friday. A win for the Bears tonight will guarantee them a share of the district title and the #1 seed. A Bear win coupled with a Silsbee loss to Cleveland will earn the Bears the outright district title. The Rattlers also have a chance at the district title tonight as a win would guarantee them a share of the district championship and a #2 seed. A win and a Silsbee loss will give the Rattlers an outright title and the #1 seed. Join Gary Stelly and John Kimbrough for all of the action from Battlin' Bear Stadium in Orange beginning with the kickoff at 7:30 pm by tuning your radio to AM 1600 KOGT or by clicking on the following link: [Hidden Content] Follow Greater Orange Area Football on Your Hometown Radio Station, AM 1600 KOGT and Your Source for Sports in Southeast Texas, SETXsports.com!
  11. Thank Coach Fogo at H-J. He got in touch with me and got me the schedule and the brackets.
  12. You're guess is as good as mine. I certainly hope that Jim Ramsden does not read this site to see his hard work used so horridly.
  13. There are two arbiters of the "best team." First is the scoreboard. And at the end of the night, the scoreboard read on the night of October 13th at around 10:00 pm, "Port Neches-Groves 44, Port Arthur Memorial 36, Final." You can make whatever excuse you want...blame whoever you want. The scoreboard, accepted by man for ages as the arbiter of the best team, read as I put it above. And in football, there are no do-overs. This ain't the NBA or Major League Baseball....you get one shot. Both Titans and Indians knew when that one shot was...one team came out on top. The second arbiter of the "best team" is the district standings. This is the only thing that can turn the first arbiter around. And as we enter the final game of the regular season, that arbiter as well points to Port Neches-Groves. In fact, if the results of last year's final game repeat on Friday, Memorial won't even be able to make the claim as the "second best" team in 22-5A. I know this won't sway those that think other wise...but I will sleep well knowing that the history of the game of football is on my side.
  14. So which players are not playing that should? You've come this far, you might as well back the bus back over the coach that you have thrown under it. In which games did the improper schemes or bad play calling take place? Come on, if you are gonna make those claims, let's have specifics!
