  1. My understanding is that as of last night, WO-S was still looking for a 10th game.
  2. I know that some both in Orange and Silsbee will say "All's well that ends well" but I don't really feel that way. The fact that Silsbee and West Orange-Stark, 1/3 of the current make up of this district and probably the most high profile schools in that district, have systems that leave that much uncertainty in how their students' grades are reported is a bit unsettling.

  4. Nope, this is what really happened: [Hidden Content] Of course, it appears that the Silsbee girls got some good news, too.
  5. Apparently, the Silsbee girls are getting those victories back. [Hidden Content]
  6. Coach Anderson started his career at Orangefield for 2 years and moved on to West Orange for seven years before taking the reigns at West Orange-Stark for 14 years. He amassed 444 wins in his career with his teams making 16 playoff appearances and two state championship appearances (one with West Orange and a second with West Orange-Stark). He was inducted into the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2003.
  7. Quite frankly. I am as surprised as you at this decision. I thought the rule was crystal clear, you use an ineligible player, you forfeit. The level of knowledge or lack thereof of the ineligibility was irrelevant. I am as anxious as you to see what factor took the UIL off of that.
  8. A WO-S coach just tweeted that WO-S won their appeal. Trying to confirm.
