Actually, Mike and I just got off the phone about that and he told me that he and Gary had discussed that very issue before tonight's game. And the conclusion is this: Gary and John's broadcast is first and foremost a WO-S broadcast and it is tailored toward Mustang fans and the sponsors of the KOGT broadcast. By the same token, Mike and Tim's broadcast is first and foremost a Silsbee broadcast and it is tailored toward Tiger fans and the sponsors of the SETXsports broadcast. Both have been used by Texan Live and will be for the foreseeable the future but know that neither will change the tenor of their broadcast simply because it is being used as audio for a Texan Live game.

Well, I will say it like this. As a Lamar University alum, I am PERFECTLY ok with going with Jeff Traylor. For if Lamar does hire Art Briles, then LU might as well do away with the football program, or for that matter the athletic program as a whole as far as I am concerned as my little butt will never be in the stands of Provost-Umphrey or Vincent-Beck and will never be in the seats at the Montagne Center for ANY event. And I bet I am not the only one.

Uh, guys. The only reason I couched my response to BADSANTA as a warning as I knew a Silsbee partisan might not cotton to a WO-S broadcast. I have known both Gary Stelly and Mike Sanchez for a long time and consider both good friends. Equally, I consider them both to be top notch broadcasters and this area would be lucky to have both of them calling this game if possible. OH YEAH, WE DO! Check out our broadcast forum above. It just gets to this, I understand preferences and usually those preferences are tied to school loyalty. However, talking one broadcast team up in an effort to talk down on the other is not something that this site (which will cater to either preference and bring you both of them) is not real comfortable with.
