Coach Neece contacted Kountze about playing but hasn't received an answer as of late this afternoon.

Any particular dates?

But that implies that HISD backs off of the order it had last week that extended virtual learning only until mid October and dictated no extracurricular activities until then. I saw the same tweet you did, but I also had the same question Soulja did when I saw it.

2020 HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PREVIEWS HARDIN-JEFFERSON HAWKS 2019 Record: 1-9 Overall, 1-3 District 4th Place in District 10-4A-II The 2019 season was a bit of bad news, good news for the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks. The bad, the Hawks were able to win only 1 game. The good, the 1 game was enough to secure 4th place in District 10-4A-II and secure a playoff spot. To secure another spot in 2020, coach Dwayne DuBois will rely on six returning offensive starters and four returning defenders. COACHING Head Coach: Dwayne Dubois Assistant Coaches: Brandon Granger (Offensive Coordinator), Richard Robinson (Defensive Coordinator), Mike Fogo, Chad Guillory, Mark Humpik, Jeff Lee, Aaron Pollock, Josh Rutherford, Edd Trotter OFFENSE Six starters return to the Hawk slot-T in 2020. Juniors Brady Trotter and Cady Jeanes will battle for the H-J triggerman position. The new quarterback will be able to rely on an experienced backfield as senior fullback Dakota McNair (2nd team all-district, 75 carries, 449 yd in 2019), senior tailback/split end Sam Dickerson and senior halfback Sage Roberts all return. Look for junior running back Brayden Martel, junior fullback Tyler Fountain and sophomore running backs Jude Flores and Westin Vazquez to also contribute in the Hawk running game. Senior and three year starter Austin Samaha (14 catches, 215 yd in 2019) returns to the tight end position with sophomore Wyatt Smith standing ready to spell him. Senior center Cody Caldwell and senior quick guard Ben Leon will lead an offensive line which will include juniors Leon Leger and Caleb Gay as well as sophomores Bryce Engleman and Rylan Morgan. DEFENSE Four starters return to the Hawk 50 defense in 2020. Samaha will return to his defensive end position to lead a young defensive line which will get contributions from Leger and Engleman as well as senior Colby Le Blanc and juniors Colton Brown, Logan Hodges and Rylan Morgan. Sophomore linebacker Luke McCullough and junior linebacker Keith Andrus return to lead a group of linebackers that will include sophomores Josh Samler and Wyatt Smith as well as Gay and junior linebacker Colin Burns. SPECIAL TEAMS The Hawk place kicker will be finalized during fall practice while Roberts will be tapped to do the punting. Dickerson, McCullough, Flores and Martel will share the return duties. Lost in all of the hoopla was the fact that it was a very sad day as two longtime coaches passed away. Andrew Washington, former Central head coach and longtime assistant at Beaumont-Charlton-Pollard, Central and most recently at Kelly, passed away on Monday. [Hidden Content] Also, Del Basinger, long time coach and most recently an assistant at West Orange-Stark before his retirement in 2018, passed away on Tuesday morning. [Hidden Content] Both gentlemen will be missed.

BREAKING: UIL ANNOUNCES FALL SPORTS SCHEDULE
WOSgrad replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Football
In 6A and 5A there will be a pretty big overlap. First games for boys basketball will be on 11/13 with the State Tournament 3/11-13. Of course, those two classifications usually have the least players who cross over from football to basketball (not to say it doesn't happen, it just isn't as common). I'm not sure of your second question as I have seen no indication of non-varsity teams not making up games. -

Not sure which is why I didn't include that game or any area games against KIPP schools. Jordan is not aligned to any district during its first two years. So it is not automatically delayed as the other Katy ISD schools are. So that the decision on Jordan's schedule will have to be made by the Katy ISD. Same with KIPP schools.
