WO-S Athletic Secretary Thereze Sichko posted this in a Facebook WO-S closed group in response to the very question of ticket sales: "There will not be any season ticket sales. All seats will be general admission with a limited capacity of tickets being sold. Football athletes families and season ticket holders will be able to purchase first, then the remainder will go on sale to Public and then remainder of tickets sent to gates on Friday nights for home games........ticket sales will be the same day and hours as before for the public. Thursday 9-12 & 1-3pm and Friday 9-12 only. Then whatever is unsold of our capacity will be sent to the gate."

I have seen this year that some schools have been charging a nominal fee (usually $1). I have been to quite a few, social distancing doesn't tend to be that much of a problem.

I pull it out every year. But I am a fair man and in the spirit of "Don't ask someone to do something you wouldn't do yourself" and "sometimes you have to laugh at yourself," I present the encore of the following:

Actually, the loss of the Kelly game week 1 will actually be a blessing. This way, they won't lose any games due to the positive test. They might be awful rusty, but they should be able to answer the bell.

The Evadale/West Hardin scrimmage has been cancelled. West Hardin will join Deweyville and Hardin in their scrimmage in Hardin on Thursday at 7

That is still our intent, but there are still a couple of things to iron out.

I wouldn't read that into it. My understanding is that he still has the rights to broadcasts at Randall Reed so he will most assuredly be doing Eagle and Spartan games. He probably considered them Houston area rather than SETX

I just exchanged messages with Bert Brocker and he gave me a list of SETX teams that they will be broadcasting at least all home games for: Silsbee West Orange-Stark Orangefield Splendora Huffman Port Neches-Groves West Brook Beaumont United East Chambers They will also do select games for: Bridge City Nederland Little Cypress-Mauriceville Vidor He has an arrangement with both KOGT and SETXsports.com to do video of the games that they do audio on, so you may also see Newton, Lumberton and West Sabine games. However, he did not mention those 3 schools specifically. SETXsports.com will be doing audio broadcasts for the following: Beaumont ISD Silsbee Newton Lumberton East Chambers West Sabine Select Woodville games

Disappointing but not surprising. I don't think the UIL mentioned anything, but I know that they were frowning on scrimmages with more than 2 schools this year.

Well, I don't mean to cast doubt on anyone's information, but are we sure that the early dismissal at Evadale was due to a positive COVID case? The only reason I ask is that this is the only place that has reported a possible case. Social media is SILENT! Even the Enterprise's Jorge Ramos, who appears to cheer when a COVID case turns up at one of the area schools, has been quiet. I know it was late in the school day, but usually they are all over it. Just wondering.

Of course this is subject to change. But currently, no.

Nope. According to a source who claims to have contacted Coach Taylor at West Hardin, the scrimmage is still on.
