[/quote] It can be but the alternative, to take I-10 to Eldridge, might be better, but not by much.  If you have a passenger, you can take the HOV, but you'll have to get out of that at the Beltway in order to make the Eldridge exit. and the traffic between the Beltway and Eldridge is a BIT heavy.
