The recent Barbers Hill/Ozen girls basketball game seemed to unearth an issue that I thought had been put to rest.  That issue being the alleged destruction of the visitor's locker room at Eagle Stadium by Beaumont Ozen during their bi-district football game with Barbers Hill.  There are some folks from Barbers Hill who maintain that it happened and the folks from Ozen are equally vehement that no such event occurred. So in a hopeful effort to resolve this issue, I e-mailed the man that would know, Barbers Hill ISD Athletic Director and Barbers Hill Head Football Coach Ronnie Gage.  I posed this question to Coach Gage: "Did the visitor's locker room during the bi-district game with Beaumont Ozen sustain any damage which caused any sort of repair or cleanup over and above what is normally expected by you following a football game?" Coach Gage's response was as follows: "This is not true.  There was no damage and I am not sure how that rumor was started." I thank Coach Gage for his help and ,thus, declare this issue CLOSED.  It did not happen! Any repetition of the allegation by anyone will be deleted on sight.
