  1. I believe Vidor won District in 78 or 79.
  2. Left the game with 5 minutes left in half, Crosby is terrible. No offense to the Crosby fans, but the team just looks lost.
  3. Yeah pirate, Grogan was 23 carries for 192 yards. I wouldnt say that was effective either. 8) 8) 8)
  4. Sounds good, I think GP is in the same dist as Calallen. They are usually pretty tough.
  5. Thats not all, a waterboy, Cornell Thompson (ingrown toenail) and an Assistant Drum Major.
  6. Come on now Coop, we hear you........ ;D Lets just strap up and play some ball!!!!!!!
  7. Hey 23 , you might wanna take em one game at a time. Last I heard, Barbers Hill was next.
  8. Gotta admit, that pregame peprally Memorial had during warmups..... Well lets just call it unique. Im with 85, its pointless IMO. When the lights come on, the peprally is over and its time to play football. Maybe im wrong here, but whatever it was it didnt work. Ive seen alot of HS football, but never seen a Head coach display emotion in this manner. Maybe this approach will work, it was only a scrimmage. Time will tell.
  9. Anyone know anything about any cancellations or delays?
  10. Hey SFA, what do you know about the new DC at Memorial? All I have heard is that he spent some time at Central, and also Ozen.
  11. After viewing the Ltown Bcity scrimmage, I have to go with Dayton. With a new Oline it might be tough for Ltown to establish a run game.
  12. I think we have a soph nose/tackle. I believe his name is Xavier, he started in the intrasquad scrimmage saturday. I guess that could change with Marcus returning, and depending on the D were in.
  13. Actually BCs 1st Off scored on a td pass, against the ltown first D. The de #88 for Ltown looked good. Kind of hard to measure this scrimmage cause (no offense to BC) the BC oline is smallish. Hughes threw the ball better and seemed to be much more poised. The Ltown oline had a hard time making running room, this is an area that needs work. Actually BCs pass game was effective when the qb had time to throw. Toward the end both teams were tired. Its still early, but Dayton will be a huge test for the Raiders.
  14. Bridge City scored at least once.A short td pass if I remember right.
  15. No offense THSFootball, Faircloth might be the next Vince Lombardi. But (Top Notch) might be a little premature. As a head coach hes yet to piss a drop.
  16. Exactly my thoughts Brubaker, Ned doesnt use a tightend.
  17. The Brook is just too much for the Jags. More of the same. Brook by 2 tds.
  18. I say Vidor,Ned,Ltown and Central. In no particular order.
  19. Gotta side with Smitty on this one. Faircloth may be the next Vince Lombardi but, it is still left to be seen. And as far as the weakened district, didnt Central go four rounds and Ned three? I see Vidor in the playoffs this year.
  20. The last couple years Ltown has had two good football teams. The combination of above average talent, and good coaching has made them successful. With that being said, Lumberton lost alot across the off and def fronts. Not by any means saying the cupboard is bare, but now is when Credeurs coaching will have to shine. If the Qb is inconsistent in throwing, the Oline will have a tougher time clearing lanes as the box will be loaded. Can the defense be as stingy with the loss of 3 of the front 4. Time will tell.
  21. Bellows will pitch thursday. No knock on Dean, but thats how it will happen. Go get em Dogs.
  22. That is alot of points for a newly implemented offense to put up. How did the defense look, sounds like they failed to show up.
