Seems there may be another candidate not listed in the foi....stay tuned. And when this is all said and done, and election time rolls around..... take a look and ask around about the candidates for school board. IMO it's time for change.

Well friends change is upon us, like it or not. I will say this...If it goes down the way the posse wants it to, and the Ad job is given to anyone other then the Head Football Coach and it doesnt work out....Well.....the next coo will be served by the football fans. As we speak most arent aware of what is and has gone on behind the scenes. But let the football program fall and see how fast the worm turns.

You are correct... but I'm speaking of coaches on the outside.

The coaching circle is tight, and word travels quickly... Interested coaches ask other coaches on the staff and throughout the area. Believe this, they have stayed away for a reason....

AGREED.....Said it from the beginning, there's a push to make English the AD. Look at the way the job is listed.

I hope you are right..... No question that the potential is there to split the jobs.

Monte gets the Head Football coach position....The big question is who gets the AD job.

Unless things changed, the job was posted on the NISD website and region 5 only... there is an agenda by several board members, will be interesting to see if they can swing it.

Board meeting the 20th to approve the hire I would think. The new coach will know by friday.

I believe today is the last day to apply.... should have a new HC/AD by the end of the month...

Couldnt find the job posted anywhere other than NISD website, not at Region 5, Indeed.com, Monster.com, etc....If anyone can find it posted anywhere else lets hear it? This speaks volumes about having a plan or agenda otherwise it would be posted where applicants looking could find it. Funny thing, I also searched these sites for AD/ baseball or basketball HC...NOTHING. The SUP job was posted all over the internet why? Because they were really looking.... an didnt want an inhouse hire. I know I have beat this horse but,anything other then a hire of AD/Head Football Coach could very well be the undoing of Nederland football.

Its worded..... Director of Athletics/ Head Coach.... not Head Football Coach....leaving the option open to hire head basketball or baseball coach as AD?

Still not sure what is going to happen but, it seems that the hire will be from the inside. Wheels of motion are turning too slow for an outside hire.When this first broke I was convinced it would be an outsider, but all indications now seem to point to a promotion from within. Im of the opinion that the AD needs to be the Head Football Coach, any other way could spell disaster for the program. JMO.

If Barrow is hired, the slow process means little cause all wheels are still in motion. If a Coach is hired from the outside, the sooner the better.

Its no secret that certain members of the school board wanted Neumann out. Those same members are also the very ones wanting to make the bball coach the next AD. Im not saying that he was run out cause I dont know that but, it sure is strange the way it all went down. If the AD position is given to anyone other than the next Head Football Coach it could spell disaster for the football program. As for myself, I will voice my concerns to our board members when the opportunity presents itself. And remember, they are all elected by us.
