    I guess the Beaumont Enterprise's story about PN-G being the only team in SE Texas to advance was a little premature, or lack of research.

    Good point. He's just began making his trips to various football camps this past Spring. If I'm not mistaken Elam (Newton) didn't get his 1st "BIG" offer until this past spring. Once that happened the flood gates opened.

    Refugio will be without their star pitcher Travis Quintanilla for the rest of the playoffs. Arrested on Monday night and charged with DWI.
     
    If you recall, Quintanilla is the all-time Texas High School Football leader in career passing yards and passing touchdowns, and he led the bobcats to two of the past three state 2A Division II Championship games, winning the state title in 2011.
