You make good and valid points about this season's football team. But I am not just talking about this year's football team. I speak about all of the athletics at HJ over the past few years. [/quote] 9 guys vote on this.  They are ALL mods or admin on this message board.  Most have seen many basketball teams in this area play, or know about them.  At the beginning of the year like this it is kind of pot luck.  The teams that deserve to be in there will as the weeks go on, and the teams that should not be will move on out.  Nothing is perfect, and it is IMPOSSIBLE to have all voters see all the teams!!!!

I will also add that if Central is the #1 team in the Dirty Dozen that WB needs to be getting more votes.  They only had two votes total this week compared to 96 for Central.  WB is coming in at #14.........not hardly!!!!  Even with the lose they will move up in my poll for sure.

Central is as athletic of a team as I have seen in a while.  Smith is one of the best in SE Texas in a long time!!!!

Lamb with career high of 23.  Team shot over 70% in 2nd half, and over 60% for the game!!!!!!

I don't think it had to do with them being told that they could not do it.  Better team won!!! 8) 8) 8)

He played a bunch on the perimeter, but he posted up several times.  He has great moves on the block as well.  Behind English he is the best ball handler on the team from what I saw.  #35 struggled with the pressure, but I see him being solid once they get some experience. My verdict still remains the same...........you do not always have to have the most talent to win, as long as you have the best coaching!!!  And no doubt that Nederland has the best coaching in 20-A!!!!!
