I would think as someone who feels kids should experience as many sports as possible you wouldn't be on a basketball forum making a post about playing less basketball and more baseball. Oddly enough, I think anyone who has experienced youth baseball would find your statement about as hypocritical as they come.  I have seen more kids (including my own) quit baseball because it is year around.  Lessons, youth league, select league.  My son had a tournament every weekend for 5 months straight when he played select ball.  No one in the baseball world has room to talk about experiencing other sports. Also, if you are all for the kids experiencing as many sports as possible then why mention scholarships and professional aspirations?  After all, you just want the kids to experience multiple sports, right? Sheesh.....take this crap to the baseball forum where you can find someone who might buy your BS.

Robb, Trey is only a year older than Shannon.  So if you played against Shannon in pick up ball (which hardly qualifies as a determining factor of who was better) then you were playing against Shannon when he was a soph. or junior and you were what?  23 or 24 years old?  It's your opinion but I don't agree.

BD3 it is amazing to me that you are trying to pass Triple A off as a legitimate academic institution.  You do realize that they are an AAU organization that decided to become a school don't you? Go research how long Mumford has been in operation?  Go research how many times Mumford has been to the state tournament in basketball?  Go see if Mumford allows kids to attend who do not participate in athletics?  You refuse to look and you don't have to look very hard to see there are MAJOR differences between Mumford and Triple A. 

Again 14U AAU team does not = Junior High basketball team

I am just being realistic.  And I will be the first to say I was wrong if HJ proves something this year.  Will you?? And like you said, you are a football and baseball guy and you support those sports.  Well I am a basketball guy (because I have family that coaches basketball) and I support basketball.  I also support swimming in which my wife coached when my work would allow it.  HJ could be the #1 team in the state in football, and I would not go to anymore games then I do now!!!!
