You wont see anyone make tackles because it the Silsbee's QB highlight reel..... I have a hudl highlight film of #54 and not once does Silsbee gain a yard!!!! Funny how those highlight films work!!!!!
Are you kidding me?!!!! :o Silsbee had 447 total yards against HJ's defense, which included your son #54!! Unbelievable!
He is Dilusional.
Dude, I was talking about a highlight reel. C'mon... Why would I put a clip of someone running a td against my son on his highlight reel? Why wold Silsbee's QB put in a clip of my son making a big pay on his highlight reel??? You guys are killing me. This isnt even fun any more... Im arguing with people about a football program and they dont even know what goes on a highlight reel..... Holy crap.... Can someone get on here that has an idea what football is???????
My point was that your claim that 90% of Silsbee's rushing yards were between the tackles. I say that is bogus and provided a little footage to back it up. I know how highlight reels work. ::) BTW, Silsbee saw better D-ends this year than the ones offered by HJ. ;)
Seems as though a lot of teams said that!!!  :o :o

4. I have seen enough HJ games to know what the truth is!!!!
5. Well based on all of these "facts" then HJ should win district this year!!!! And don't get me wrong, I would love nothing more than HJ to beat Silsbee.  But there is a better chance of me winning the lottery this week.......and I don't play the lottery!!!
6. All of this has made my day!!!  Or wasted my day!!!! ::) ::) ::)
7. A 14U AAU team does not qualify as a junior high school team.  It does not mean they attended Triple A Academy academically.  They couldn't have because Triple A does not have a junior high school.  Freshmen in high school are 14 years old.  Therefore, they can play on the 14U AAU Team. Again,  Triple A was not a school until last year.  How could any of their roster been in junior high when they didn't even have a school two years ago. The difference is Triple A is not an academic institution.  They are putting kids on computer generated curriculum's for a few hours a day and then hitting the gym.  There is nothing wrong with that BUT, they should not be allowed to compete for the same championships as schools who:  1) cannot control their enrollment  2) cannot select their enrollment 3) must adhere to strict guidelines set forth by TEA regarding hours per day in the classroom 4) strict guidelines per TEA regarding instruction and how it is given
8.
AAA has at least 4 players (that I know) attended AAA since 8th grade
That's odd.  Last year was Triple A's first year as a "public school".  The youngest kid on their roster is a sophomore.  That means that he was at Triple A as a freshman.  It is impossible for Triple A to have had 8th graders since they don't have a junior high.  Bottom line is Triple A was an AAU group that decided to become a "public school".  Unfortunately, right now in the State of Texas, any Tom, Dick, or Harry can start their own school and it is 3 years before TEA ever gets to them to see if they are operating within the guidelines that TEA has set forth for public schools. Triple A is simply an AAU outfit and their CEO's son is the best player.  Daddy wants his son to get to win a state championship and the only way to guarantee that was for him to form his own school with SELECTED TALENT and ASSEMBLED TALENT from an AAU organization.  Get this....Triple A had to hire another person to coach the team this year because Singleton, the current coach, had been their AAU coach and that would not fly with UIL.  So they make Singleton the AD then after the current coach loses 3 games in a row, they fire him and make Singleton the head coach again....funny thing....the "fired coach" stayed on as the assistant.  Yeah....nothing shady about that.  Just another group that finds ways to skirt the rules.
9. HJ: 1-Ryan Donahoe 2-Rocky Rocquemore 3-Kenyon Spears 4-Shannon Holmes 5-Sam Williams
10. I have been told that AAA Academy will be reclassified as 3A in the next realignment.
11.
Isnt that something Hitman, you were there and Lazeek is saying his brother in law is his intel. Cmon dude, if you werent there then you dont have an argument... Your brother in law may, but you dont...
You should read more closely.  I am a '91 graduate so I was there.  My brother in law was a '92 graduate.
12. Hill was asst. superintendent and while Breithaupt helped out with front office duties he never was the asst. principal.  Breithaupt went to UIL after the 91-92 school year. I counted Webb just did not list him as coaches that left.
13. Your facts are flat out wrong about Breithaupt and what he did.  My brother in law played for him the entire time he was there.  I was in school during that time as well.  The above posted is EXACTLY correct.  Breithaupt was NEVER the assistant principal BUT was the principal during the 91-92 school year.  He left after that year to the UIL.  During the 91-92 school year Vaughan was the AD and Breithaupt was the hd basketball/principal.  Breithaupt NEVER worked at HJ in ANY capacity where he was not the basketball coach except in the late 70's when he was Jimmy Burke's assistant coach. As for losing good football coaches, Huckabay left on his own accord BUT, in his last two years HJ was fielding teams with 17 players on the varsity.  Fischer was at HJ from 1996-1997 school year through the 2004-2005 school year.  That is almost ten years as the coach.  I'm not sure where you got three coaches in 7 years.  HJ hasa had TWO football coaches in the last 17 years. You have a right to your opinion BUT, your facts about when other coaches were here and when they left are dead wrong.  I can assure you of that.
14. Breithtaupt was brought in as AD/hd basketball at the 89-90 school year and remained in that capacity through the 90-91 school year, those two years HJ was 8-2 and 7-3 in football.  In the 91-92 school year Breithaupt became the principal/hd basketball and Bruce Vaughan became the athletic director and was already girls basketball coach.  Breithaupt left for the UIL after the 91-92 school year.  Vaughan remained on staff as the AD/girls bball coach until the 97-98 school year and that is when Pat Fischer was brought in.  That was also the same year HJ went to 4A for two years with the smallets enrollment in the state for 4A at that time.  It was Fischer who lead them through 4A before dropping back down and then having the best run of football seasons that HJ has had including a state quarterfinal berth.  HJ's enrollment was at an all time high during Fischer's first 5 years or so and then enrollment began to decline and has ever since until the last few years when HJ went to open enrollment.  That has helped bump enrollment back up.
15.
they on you DV!!! hahahaha. Me personally I didnt know China, Nome, and Cheek had enuff kids to make a 3a school. I thought the Majority of HJ kids came from Beaumont, at least the athletes.
Why did you leave out Sour Lake, Pinewood, Countrywood, etc?  Are you insinuating that only athletes come from China, Nome, Cheek, and Beaumont?  If so, perhaps you should do some research on the state tournament teams at Hardin-Jefferson and their make up.
16.
Lazeek, every time you post something, it proves my theory... You guys are actually good with the thought that our basketball coach should be the AD... I believe that would hurt our football program because now your not going to get a quality coach... AD's are traditionally football coaches and they want that title... Just tired of the blatant lie that some sports are treated better than others because it just simply isn't true. Then why would we ever consider giving our AD title to our basketball coach when we live in a state where FOOTBALL is king? Because basketball is the only sport that matters at HJ...
Go look at HJ's football past.  Some of their most successful years were when Breithaupt was the AD/Basketball coach and when Bruce Vaughan was the AD/girls basketball coach.  I know for the two years that Breithaupt was the AD the football team went 7-3 and 8-2.  I am not pushing for the basketball coach or for anyone else for that matter.  I am saying that you don't have to have a football/AD in order for football to be successful.
17. First off, China is in HJISD boundaries so ALL kids from China go to HJ.  Just like Nome, Sour Lake, some of Cheek and actually some of Jefferson County since the school district line extends out to Moore Road across from NW Forest. Come on Dickie, name names.
18. You have a right to your opinion.  I don't necessarily agree but, the one thing we can rest assured is that HJISD will do what it thinks is best for the school district regardless of what is said here.  The "football rules in Texas" is a weak argument.  Whatever you do, don't use that in your interview if you get one.
19. Chasmack, My point was not who paid for the stands.  My point was to counter the thought that particular sports get everything while some get nothing.  My brother in law speaks very highly of the booster club and all they have done for ALL sports during these budget cuts.  Yes, the basketball program does have sponsors and donors.  Those sponsors and donors didn't just show up at the door.  They go out and work to get those sponsorships.  Just like football and baseball do with the signs hanging around the fields.  Just tired of the blatant lie that some sports are treated better than others because it just simply isn't true. BlueOwl, You haven't played basketball since junior high, so how would you know if basketball has everything it needs.  Get with someone knowledgeable about how district cuts happen before you say things like that.
20.
Im sure David was a huge advocate for that. He should have been pushing for a new field, or baseball field or something to benefit the programs that always get budget cuts or overlooked...
Check into what was on the original list of things on that bond issue.  Unfortunately, the community was only going to support a particular amount on the bond that passed to build the new school.  When you are passing a bond that has to re vamp different parts of four campuses and build an entire new school then the school buildings themselves take precedence over football fields.  Besides the fact that there is nothing wrong with our football field.  The stands were replaced in the late 90's with brand new stands.  The scoreboard was updated this year.  Unfortunately, the baseball and softball fields being included in the first bond would have resulted in failure of the bond.  However, I agree that we do need our own baseball and softball fields, it has nothing to do with basketball. Every sport's budget has been cut over the last four years.  It has nothing to do with any particular sport....it has to do with the legislature cutting funding to the schools.  However, per my brother in law, the basketball budget has been cut almost 60% in the last three years.  All sports have been affected by budget cuts and it has nothing to do with preferring one sport of another.
21. I know plenty about what went on.  "State of the art weight room"?  It is not even 500 sq. ft. and it was originally set aside for a trainers space.  However, the trainer was willing to give up space so there could be an indoor weight room for all indoor sports.  BTW, Coach Martel was the biggest advocate of this because it gave HJ two weight rooms instead of one and would create more time and room for football to use the larger weight room.  The bond money was for a new school.  When building a new school and moving a junior high over to the old high school then you have to build new gyms.  Make sure you have your facts straight.  The new high school has two gyms, just like the old one did.  Lets not forget, that before new gyms or new schools or anything HJ decided to build a new football field house.  Have we forgotten that already?  That field house is barely 10 years old.  Was anyone griping when HJ decided to spend money on ONLY a football facility?  No. You can continue to try to make your argument as one sided as you want.  That is not what I chimed in for.  Those who know the real facts know the real facts and that is ultimately what matters.  What you and I or anyone else on this message board says will have ZERO bearing on the decision that HJ makes. Hitman, An AD job is year around regardless of the sport in season.  One could make the argument that HJ needs to hire just a football coach so that all that guy has to concentrate on is football and turning the program around and nothing else.
22. Apparently you haven't been in the football weight room lately.  They have the newest, best equipment around and it is 5 times the size of the indoor sports weight room.  How has football laid down to basketball?  Don't just come on here and make generalizations.  It's not fair to the school or the kids.
