i signed up about 2 weeks ago. haven't received any twits frome either the Dogs or those little indians, what have i done wrong? i only want twits going to blackberry because i will be at a game.

make sure that you have the application turned on and not off or it will not send you the text. just click on it.

follow the PNG Indians and Nederland Bulldogs all year long with updates sent straight to your cell phones. So far the PNG site has 67 followers. Its a great opportunity for out-of-towners or folks who may be working and arent around a radio/computer to get live game updates and info. The sites again are:

I think the turnout will be one of the best home game crowds in years (on the PNG side). The excitement about this season is very high and you should expect a large number of fans at the game. Ill be there early!

I'm thinking the white's are actually JV the more I look at. Complete different template right down to the Nike pants.

this is true. the white uni's in these pics are the JV uniforms. The varsity road whites follow the same pattern as the home jerseys shown above only white.

Im still torn on the design. I wish someone had shown Coach Faircloth some video of the 89/90 uniforms. They are still the best in PNG history. If they had to follow a template I would have used TCU's only with purple instead of black pants but none of this really matters if they win.

I totally agree but not only does it help some folks, it helps me. Now I only have to text the score one time for all my "friends" to get the updates.

This was posted a few months ago but football season is quickly approaching so I wanted to bring it up again. This is the perfect opportunity for anyone interested who works or is out of town and cannot make a game to receive up to the minute scores via the web or a text message. Just sign up for a twitter page and follow "pngindians". You'll then need to register your cell phone to receive text updates. Theres no added cell phone charges to receive the text updates other than what you would normally pay now. If you have unlimited text messaging then its a non issue. The idea was thought of and done by "BigDog" from this site and bigned.com. Nederland fans or anyone curious about the Nederland games can follow the Nederland page: "NedDogs".

Remember, even if you're not a PNG or Nederland fan you can sign up for the updates if your favorite school is on their schedule. At least for that one week you'll be provided scoring updates. Ill also try to pass along scores from other local teams during the PNG games that get provided to us.

Its great idea and this will be nice for folks that cant make it or live out of town. Ive already added your nederland site into the "follow" section.  Ill probably start another thread on here so the png fans will open it! lol,,,,

Thanks for the input. I hope that I will be able to do every game, so everyone that "follows" my page will be up to date at least every quarter for non-Nederland games! Unfortunately I will maybe make one game this year

not who you were asking the question but IMO the entire district is heading back in the right direction.

PNG- coaching change will work wonders- will be better

LCM- new coach from an established winner- will be better

Ozen- new coach that will do well- will be better

Nederland- same ol coach but with much talent coming back- will be better

Vidor- most returning starters from a decent 08 team- will be better

Central- new coach, long playoff run last year but loses a lot of those guys- probably the same

Lumberton- same coach and Anthony Beard- probably the same

Livingston- dont know much about them except their superstar from last year graduated- probably worse

overall I see a stronger, more competitive 20-4A with few if any "pushovers".

Its not too hard.  Sign up for an account, link your phone under devices and you will get text msg updates.  You can also link other programs such as Yahoo, AOL IM , facebook, etc.  

I figured this would be good for all the people in the stands saying " I wonder what the score is at the " (insert team name here) game?" Everyone will be up to date on the whole district, and can follow the dogs if they can't get to the internet or the radio.

I think this is a GREAT idea!  I Twitter everyday on my BlackBerry and the updates are really good.  Good idea!

I will be "tweeting" updates for Nederland games for all of you who are unable to get to the internet or radio, or are sitting in a stadium somewhere. (by text message)  ;D  I have decided that play by play would be too much so for Ned games, i will probably update after each scoring drive.  

As a bonus, I will also give quarterly updates for the 20-4a district as I get them , and other "games of interest as well.  

I might try to split people up if they don't want the scoring drive updates from Nederland but just the updates for the rest of the district, so let me know what you want!

this is a really nice idea bigdog. As much time as I usually spend texting during the PNG games it would be nice to "tweet" (still think that sounds stupid) one time and any interested parties would receive it.

Terrible picks  for 20-4a, as I have said before.  

why? because Central only has 3 returning starters and are predicted to finish 5th? There really is no difference in being placed 3rd-6th IMO so Im having a hard time feeling sorry for Central, theyll be fine.

maybe..he can call it a fantasy all he wants but you cannot take away the free practice time your QB & WR's and DB's are getting going up against each other. It cannot hurt anytime you're giving your QB more reps with his WR's or your DB's getting reps vs WR's in a semi controlled environment.

I could care less about W's or L's during the 7 on 7's but I like watching the boys when they practice well. 

and while we're on the subject of the PNG helmet, I dont guess you guys have made progress in getting the 89/90 Malone year helmets for the forum? one would be easy to duplicate but the other was a custom looking design.

The '90 helmet was the custom one right? What did the '89 helmet look like?

someone can correct me if im wrong but it had the Florida State logo below on a white helmet with purple mask. the logo was the picture below but with a purple/grey color scheme and either PNG or Indians on the feathers instead of Florida State.
