  1. OK, Small change WoS Sislbee BC Orangefield HJ HF What does HJ have to do to get some respect in 21-3A? Play the Dallas Cowboys? Last season HJ was picked dead last and finished 3rd making the playoffs, this year HJ was picked 4th but everyone seems to think we'll finish last or 2nd to last.. HJ played cleveland (Highly ranked 3A team) fairly close, beat Woodville, and hung with Vidor (4A picked 1st in their district)... Who have BC and Orangfield played? I think not only does HJ make the playoffs, but possibly knock off one of the top dogs and make a run for 2nd place .

  3. Actually BC has a 4 game win streak going back to last year against Orangefield and Hamshire-Fannett,This is gonna be a tough one for BC to win, The offense did good last week against Kountze but LCM is much improved on D from last year, Only lost to WO-S by two touchdowns... I'll give BC some credit and say BC 23 LCM 21, I'd really like to see a 3-0 start to kickoff the Season ;D Oh, well excuse me.. i was just refering to this season.. but ok BC's streak will end at 4 and i believe that it wont be very pretty.. BC has played Kountze and Liberty and managed to win.. that in no way means they will be able to beat or most likely even compete with LCM.. LCM only lost to WOS by 14, WOS is a dominant 3A every year..
  4. yeah.. im fairly certain that i submited pics but i dont see my name on the results page
  5. the 2 examples you gave are of highly ranked teams in their division playing decent teams one level above them.. its not like Central went and beat Katy or anything.. so thats a little differnt story.. and the size of a school does play a little bit of a factor in the sense that when you have like 500 or 600 more student then theres a better chance that you get more predominant athletes and also you have probably a larger team and can roll people in and out easier.. so size is a bit of a factor.. im not trying to make excuses, just stating my opinion on that.. Regardless of anything else.. HJ is gonna go to vidor friday night and give it everything they've got
  6. Anything is possible. Unlikely but possible
  7. I agree with you that HJ wins this week against woodville, but I don't understand your statement about the Cleveland game. Now I have played golf before, where I made better contact with the ball than my score indicated, but I don't know how thats possible in football. If you get in the endzone as many times as Cleveland did and keep the other team from getting into theirs very much. . .then it was exactly how the score indicates. Not starting a battle, jmo. i see what you mean, but what i meant was that a couple of clevelands TD's were scored on long breaks a few of them just lucky that they broke.. where as HJ had 3 or 4 plays similar to that where if one more tackler had missed or one more block made then HJ scores 3 or 4 more TD's.. just not quite there.. and despite the score being 35-7 HJ hung with cleveland all night.. also i like what HJ fan said.. HJ was picked as the major underdog to lose by like 40-50 something.. and it was only 22-7 at one point then cleveland scores one in the 2nd half and then one late in the 4th to make the score look like HJ got dominated... So HJ really did A LOT better than everyone thought they were going to do
  8. I have to say HJ.. why you wouldn't im not sure.. HJ loses (game was not as bad as score indicated) to a highly state ranked 3A team, and Woodville beats a bad 2A team.. i dont think that means that Woodville is going to beat HJ.. possibly compete, but not win

  11. it was a combined Varsity/JV game.. went 15offense/15defense each for varsity then 15offense/15 defense each for JV then 2 game situation 12 minute quarters.. HJ's varsity offense went out and scored on the first play Hardin didn't seem to be ready at first but they picked up and i agree it was a fairly close scrimmage.. i felt like HJ somewhat had the edge most the time.. Hardin capitalized on some key HJ mistakes.. scoring on 2 drives after INT as far as turnovers went i think it was fairly even.. like 2-1 or 2-2.. HJ had 2 INT and hardin had 1 or 2 fumbles i believe
  12. i guess we'll find out about this one in two weeks
  13. nice video and good pics.. newtoschool.. why are you accusing HJ of cheating or using sleds/pads too early? You have no reason to believe that except that you can see them in the background of the video..

  15. i agree.. HJ takes 3rd spot with BC a close 4th.. i see it being 1. WOS (1st and 2nd will be close again) 2. Silsbee 3. HJ 4. BC 5. HF (5th and 6 could maybe swap) 6.OF
  16. downfall started after the PK.. then i agree Perkins played well for a while but seemed to have a hard time as he was the only one still playing defense... i think that only 2 or 3 of those players have a shot of making the World Cup qualifier team..
  17. Is this official just trying to screw the US over? 2 yellow cards which i dont believe either of them should have been given.. and then that Penalty when the Mexico guy punched the US defender in the face and ran him over.. which resulted in a goal.. I know lots of people say you cant blame the refs.. but in this game i entirely blame the refs if the US loses
  18. Nil Nil 35 minutes in... thoughts on that (IMO cheap unnecesary) Yellow card on Pause for the late shot after the offsides call on Ching?
  19. hasnt gotten much playing time has he? only the 25 minutes or so in the grenada game right?
