Why has the original post been deleted? Are the facilitators of SETXsports personally connected with HJ coaching staff. The original post expressed concern over the incompetence of HJ coaching staff allowing and promoting the game of HJ freshmen opposing Kelly JV players. Some HJ freshmen players were injured (some severly) and the game should not have taken place. It was an incompetent decision on the part of HJ coaches to place their freshmen players on the field to oppose Kelly players with 2-3 yrs experience,ability, and size. 2-3 years? they were all freshmen and sophmores, that just happened to be big guys... The HJ coaching staff would not intentionall put any of their players into a situation where they knew there was a good chance of getting them hurt, it was just the bad luck of the draw that those HJ kids got hurt and its unfortunate, but you cant go around blaming the HJ staff for something that they cant do anything to prevent...

1. WOS - is the top pick as usuall and for good reason, they are undefeated in district play since dropping to 3A so until someone knocks them off thats where they'll stay. 2. HJ or Silsbee - Silsbee - played a close game friday against WOS and as usuall isn't far behind them. HJ - is playing some of their best football in a while, they have the momentum right now after a 41-14 win over BC to start district. 4. HF - After a close win over OF i think they will finish a close 4th 5. OF - After starting district with a close loss to HF i dont know how they'll do, but i think it'll be a tough year for OF and they'll go 5th 6. BC - i dont know what to say about BC, but after a 41-14 loss to start district i think its going to be another rought year for BC unless they step it up. This is just my opinion so dont go getting mad at me...

yeah Trey will be fine come friday, his ribs were just a little sore before the game and he took a bad hit to them, but he'll be ready to go come friday, and i agree with HJ-Hawks25, we have turner as well

watch film of BC vs any other team they've played... especially Kountze! i cant recall what the exact score was at halftime last night with HJ BUT with Kountze the game was 28-7 at half... 21 point difference, the half time score for HJ was about the same give or take a few points, BUT my point is that in the Kountze game you will see the WHOLE HJ game in the first half, then in the 2nd half of the game you will see the true BC Cardinal team they are capable of being... BC Shut out Kountze in the 2nd half and BC score 19 points to make it a 28-26 loss... so obviously something is wrong when you have a decent football team getting beat 41-14 on the first game in District! and yes, i still say their minds were 100% on HJ and winning the football game i dont think they would have lost and if they did it be by only 3-6 points... Go watch film of HJ vs. Anahuac HJ was down 29-0 at the half, and came out and shut out Anahuac in the 2nd half and scored 34 unanswered points in the 2nd half to win 34-29... Also go watch the HJ vs. Newton film where everyone had HJ picked to lose by 40 or more points and they had it within 5 points in the 4th quarter... and when you said, "so obviously something is wrong when you have a decent football team getting beat 41-14 on the first game in District!" maybe there is something wrong, maybe whats wrong is that they're playing a better football team in HJ... everyone is looking for excuses to use why BC lost maybe the problem isn't with BC just that HJ truly was the better team and came to win it.

our offense moved the ball well but just couldn't seem to finish, but thanks to our kicker Stuart Flowers we didn't get shutout... our defense was very strong, just made a few mistakes... after the scrimmage part it was 0-0 then the 15 minute game situation was 14-3

Sounds to me as if its just going to be a big brawl between all the teams this year in 21-3A. Even if WOS doesn't lose i think the games will be closer for them.

The field was very muddy and wet. Neither team could pass the ball efficiently due to the wet ball and it seemed like both struggled towards the end of the drives when it really counted.

the only rule (i believe) is that to be considered onside you must have 2 defenders (including the goalie) between you and the goal on any forward pass... i think he should have still been onsides because the forward still had 2 defenders infront of him... depends on how you interpret it though, because i think anything i've ever read said 2 defenders between you and the goal... so im not sure on that part... THIS IS STRAIGHT OUT OF A NATIONAL FEDERATION OF STATE HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER ASSOCIATION RULE BOOK... (dont know if its different for pro, but heres what i've got) It says... A player is in an offside position when nearer to his/her opponents' goal line than the ball, unless... a. The player is in his/her own half of the field of play; or b. the player is not nearer to the opponents GOAL LINE than at least two opponents so technically he didn't have 2 defenders between him and the goal line, so he should have been called offsides and the goal shouldn't have counted (i think)... unless you say that the defender that was out of bounds was closer to the goal line from the opposite direction than the forward... I think its basically a judgement call hope this helps

I definately agree that Bronson could do it... and i believe Hicks could do it after he graduates... Monsey and Lundy, could probly play pro ball, but i dont know about right now... i believe after a couple of years in college they could go pro...

ok, i have no problem with you representing the teams you cover, but that doesn't mean you have to disrespect other teams, and say that games were meaningless or that some players shouldn't be recognized or given awards... I think that a few of the things you said in your article was Classless...

I think that it is a disrespectful news article... i mean everyone has their favorite of who they think should have been district MVP and i agree that Jackson and Bronson were great players, but so was Monse... I mean i think its disrespectful to go and say, that Monse should not have won that award... He put up great numbers and helped carry the Hawks, and make then runner ups in 21-3A with a 11-3 record... and he is also going to continue to help them into the playoffs... and to say that the game where HJ beat BC was meaningless is untrue... EVERY GAME COUNTS...

whichever player your missing... go up to your roster and where it says (for example) "PICK A MIDFIELDER" click that then it should say, "you have used up all of your transfers for the week, please pick a player off of your previous weeks roster to complete your roster" so then you go and look through the list for a player with an arrow with a P on it next to their name and click add on that person... and that should work

i think you can just pick up a player off of your previous weeks roster and it doesn't cost a transfer, because i over transfered players one week, but it let me pick up a player off of my roster the previous week and i still got points...

If we get to play BC we will ;D I agree with you BCtreasure - pretty sure they caught BC on an off night and if memory serves me right - BC shut them out 1st game. I am a big fan of BC and the and a big congrats on being the 21-3A district champs - they should be proud and understand that all teams have an off night - all other team is the district including HJ had a several OFF nights! So good luck and BC - keep your heads high you are the well deserved champs! and I must say I am so impressed with the class that this group of boys show each and every game! Ok... first off no, BC didn't shut out HJ the first game... its was 5-2, and secondly if anyone thinks that BC is just going to be able to walk onto the field against anyone, including HJ, in the playoffs and just walk all over them then they're mistaken... i dont care if you guys say BC had an off night... HJ is on a hot streak... they 10 run ruled Jasper, beat Silsbee, and Beat BC... to clinch 2nd place in a tough 21-3A district... and when you say (SEVERAL) off nights... i dont consider only 3 losses being that many "off nights"... HJ only had 2 more losses than BC... and right now BC and HJ head-to-head are at .500 ... so they're even at this point... and i agree with you BC is very classy (usually)... except for the game that they got beat, im talking about the "surprise" that was left in the HJ dugout by idk who... if it wasn't a player or someone associated with the baseball team im sorry if i seem like im accusing the entire team, but the individual that would do something like that has absolutely no class...
