1. PNG - Montgomery Nederland - Huntsville Central - Brenham HF - Waller Lets hear it.. That district finished.. 1. Waller  2. Brenham  3. Montgomery  4. Huntsville
 2.
Lumberton lost. Very unfortunate for them. I believe they got goal jacked when central keeper held the ball over the goal line. But Central definitely showed up and made it clear that they were a force to be reckoned with.
I believe that was a goal also, but there was a close call the other way on the same thing.. the lumberton keeper swatted it very close to the line.. that could have also been over..
 3. I think this will be a good game.. I think vidor will have a little too much for HF however.. My Prediction.... Vidor - 3 HF - 1
 4. PNG - 4 Liberty - 0 this was with about 4 minutes left so i think its probably the final
 5. Guys playoff matchups Lumberton (1) v Central (4) Vidor (2) v HF (3) Livingston (3) v Nederland (2) Liberty (4) v PNG (1)
 6. Guys Lumberton, Vidor, Livingston, Liberty PNG, Nederland, ?, ?
 7. I dont think anyone is trying to say anything negative about the players, being able to put up those kind of points is very impressive and im sure they are all great players... But as the article said, this is HIGH SCHOOL, not professional.. there's no bonus for beating a team 170-35.. its not necessary.. if you score 300 points and win (300-270) thats fine the fact of the matter is that they were running scores up for the fun of it... Fouling to try to score more points to break 100 when you are already wining by 50 with only 2-3 minutes left is TERRIBLE.. IMO that is uncalled for.. making a statement is fine, but learn when to call the dogs off..
 8. That is amazing.. 50 goals in one season is no easy task.. What are her plans after high school.. any college offers known so far? also.. on the 106 goals in a season by the girl from El Paso.. WOW!! I hope they won state, because if i scored 106 goals in a season and we ever lost i would be extremely dissapointed with my team.. thats averages out to about 4 goals per game or so..
 9. IMO a serious part of the problem is that (In several HJ games i know for sure) there have only been 2 referees.. they both play as outside/center refs.. trying to judge the middle and line, and 80 percent of the time they are not in the position to make some calls that they do.. On the BIAS subject.. if you think that EVERY ref is COMPLETELY neutral and NEVER favors a team in a game they officiate then im sorry to say, but i believe you are sadly mistaken.. it happens... thats my opinion.. Refs will miss calls, as was said above, they can't see everything.. I do think some officials should read over what cardable offenses are, because i have seen some players get away with very serious fouls, and others get carded for a slight bump... Also when the ball is kicked into a persons hand (Ball to hand = ballhand) it should not stop play... When the players hand is moved into the ball (hand to ball = handball) then play is stopped... I have seen quite a few times when a player could have in no way moved their hand out of the way when the ball was kicked very hard directly at them, and play was stopped.. I don't know what the refs expect you to do in that case...
 10.
Lumberton still in 1st , Vidor in 2nd and then i beleive Liv and then Liberty after tonight
I forgot that a SO win is only 2 points and the loser still gets a point.. So if Lumberton and Vidor win their remaining games it should finish.. 1st - Lumberton 34 pts 2nd - Vidor 32 pts
 11. Sounds like the Lumberton/Vidor game was eventfull.. how does this play out in district standings? Does either team have any other losses other than to eachother? It would go to the GF/GA tie breaker if not i believe.. Livingston - 4 HJ - 1
 12.
Vidor scored 7 on HJ last week.
So does Jasper or Silsbee have a better defense than HJ? HJ had a very off game against vidor, and vidor played very well, but generally IMO HJ's defense holds teams alot better than Silsbee or Jasper
 13. HJ - 4 Silsbee - 1 HJ Goals Josh Self (2) Chris "Chocolate" Brown (2) Silsbee Goal Number 16 (Name?)
 14. 4-1 HJ Final.. Switched things up moved our forwards back to defense and put our keeper at forward.. Silsbee did play alot better in the second half however.. Goals.. Josh Self (2) Chris "Chocolate" Brown (2)
 15. I know Kirbyville had a club team, and now with the move back up to 3A there are some people pushing for a school team
 16.

Schexnider is very good. HJ's Goalie - Josh Kerl (Jr.) - is IMO also one of the best goalies in the area, he has kept HJ in some games with his great play. Schexnider's Goals Allowed Stats may be better, but if you compare the number of shots taken to goals allowed I'd bet that Kerl's are just as good if not better. Teams have taken up to 20 shots on him and put only one goal in several games.
because HJ allows ALOT of shots to be taken... Lumberton doesnt.  ;)
I know, but my point is we're talking best Goalie.. number of shots taken is not a reflection of the goalie's play, number of saves however is..
 17. Nice List.. Imagine compiling a team of the top player of each position off of this list..
 18.
Nederland, PN-G, HF, Central Lumberton, Vidor, Livingston, Liberty
I believe this is all but locked up as the playoff representatives.. A few key losses and wins here and there could possibly change it, but its unlikely..
 19.
HJ- come on man how many games have they won? they play cheap.
HJ plays cheap? How? please explain to me... Also, How many goals did Jasper give up in the first half of district?? Vidor - 5 Livingston - 3 Lumberton - 8 Liberty - 3 HJ - 1 Silsbee - 2 22 Goals allowed in 5 games... Obviously Jaspers Defense is the best..  ??? HJ's stats Vidor - 2 Livingston - 3 Lumberton - 3 Liberty - 1 Jasper - 3 Silsbee - 2 14 goals allowed in 6 games.. Seems like Jasper tended to give up alot more goals to the top teams (Vidor and Lumberton).. Seems like a solid defense would be able to contain these teams a little better.. And i Believe HJ has won the same number of District games as Jasper has..
 20.
any details on the shoot out
1-1 in regulation.. no goals in OT.. and then Liberty won 3-0 in shootout.. so Final 4-1 (SO) as Football007 said it was a hard fought game.. Liberty's only goal coming off a deflected shot that took a bad spin off the defender.. HJ's goal coming off a 2nd chance rebound put back in nicely.. HJ just couldn't finish in the SO, had too many missed opportunities during regulation that could have won it and prevented the shootout...
 21.

Lumberton.  ;D
Yes, because they put 9 guys in the box, so it's impossible to get anywhere.
if they're doing that and still scoring goals, then everyone else is screwed, because that's tough to beat :)
Lumberton plays great transition soccer.. Midfielders do a great job of getting back and helping on defense (9 guys in the box).. and they work back up to make opportunities on offensive.. not that they pack everyone in on defense, or offense.. they just transition very well..
 22. IMO in that district.. 3A - HJ has the best defense - given up way fewer goals than Silsbee or Jasper 4A - Probly Lumberton - Given up very few goals at all I dont know a lot about the other district, but if i had to make a guess it'd be.. 3A - HF 4A - Nederland
 23. Straight away running i think Jacoby is the faster one, but Gus has crazy stop-and-go speed, amazing agility and acceleration
 24.
Josh should be all-district.  he's really solid.  i wish we could see how good he would've been had he been playing his whole life.  when you watch him, it's tough to believe he's only played a couple of years.
Only for a little over one year really.. Came out last year for soccer as a sophmore and had never played before.. Now he's a junior and will still have one more year
 25. Schexnider is very good. HJ's Goalie - Josh Kerl (Jr.) - is IMO also one of the best goalies in the area, he has kept HJ in some games with his great play.
