  1. It didn't take long for the college football season it give us our first big shock, but that's exactly what Texas A&M and Kenny Hill did with their 52-28 rout of South Carolina and it had a big impact on a few futures wagers. South Carolina's odds to win the National Championship plummeted from 23/1 to 50/1 after the loss, according to Sportsbook.ag, while Texas A&M's title odds shot through the roof going from 100/1 before the game to 30/1 after.
  2. August isn't fall.  I say DVR the game and watch it after you take her out for the evening.  Just don't go somewhere with a TV or accidently check your phone
  3. I doubt he plays for OU. Probably try NFL next year.
  4. This red field is worse than the Smurf Turf in Boise.
  5. Just to explain, I have Michigan at #4 mainly due to the schedule.  Michigan doesn't have to play Wisconsin, Nebraska, or Iowa.  Instead, they get Maryland and Rutgers.  So, they only have 2 conference games that are for sure losses.  They have a chance to win the rest of them.  Nebraska has 4 very tough road games and they will likely be underdogs in each of them.  I think NW is underrated so I give them the #5 ahead of Nebraska as far as final conference standings.  I agree that Iowa will be in the bottom half.
  6. 1. Mich St. 2. Ohio St. 3. Wisconsin 4. Michigan 5. Northwestern

    Texas

I guess I missed seeing Texas in the rankings. We're they there? I did happen to see 8 SEC teams though. But whatever. If you finish with a better record then good for you. Success
  8. Seriously?  Let's look back to Tech's final 5 conference games last year.  OU, KSU, OSU, Texas, and Baylor.  Yes, they lost ALL of them.  More of the same this year as Tech's swiss cheese defense is even worse.  Look for Tech to finish 6-6 and 7th place in the Big 12.
  9. UCLA is definitely loaded, and they also play Oregon and Stanford at home.  I'll take UCLA, Oregon, and Stanford in the Top 3.  USC will be much better than expected and will be 4th.  Arizona St. slips to the middle of the pack.
  10. Certainly Baylor and OU are the favorites.  Baylor handled OU last year, but this year they must travel to Norman on Nov 8.  That game likely decides the Big 12.  Texas and TCU will play on Turkey Day to decide 3rd place.  TT will be in the middle of the pack.
  11. Of these games listed, I'll go with Arkansas.
  12. Every single SEC school will make more money off the SEC Network than Texas makes off the Longhorn Network.  I'll take the wager.  The arrogance of t.u. to kill the Big 12 is the best thing to happen for A&M.  Oh, gotta go.  Little league baseball is now on the Longhorn network.
  13. And that was the score after 3 Qtrs. Thank goodness OU started falling down at the 1 yard line to not run up the score any more.
  14. Carolina has won 18 straight home games. I think the Ags will play well, but I don't think it will be enough to pull the upset.
  15. I'll go 9-4 again. Tough road games on the schedule include Mich St, Wisconsin, NW, and Iowa. Might be lucky to win one of those.
  16. Take the under. 6-6 could be in the forecast. Defense will give up too many points.

    Texas

I agree with 9-3, assuming the QB play gets fixed. The defense should be excellent, and the RB's are great if they stay healthy. OU, Baylor, and UCLA all look like top 10 teams this year. TCU could pull an upset on Turkey Day too..
  18. And Arkansas is too good to be 7th. Hogs schedule even tougher than A&M as they have to play 8 SEC bowl teams from last year. As for A&M, I'll say 7-5, but I'm hoping for better. Defense will be much improved, but the big questions are replacing Manziel and Evans.
  19. Texas will be thowing their Ace on Friday, so we'll probably see another 2-1 kind of game.  They could force another game but you really can't predict anything this year.  I'll root for the Frogs 1st, and then Ole Miss 2nd.
  20. I went to bed in the 11th because it looked like a potential SHSU-TCU rerun. Not much offense so far in this CWS. Doesn't look like anybody is a HR threat.
  21. Wow.  I wonder what happened.  Great guy, great RB.  He was the #2 all time leading rusher when he left Groveton.  Great career at A&M also.
  22. Watching the Top 12 ranked teams in the country fall like dominoes, do we know who the better teams are?
  23. Not a Coog or from Houston. Rooting for the Frogs and TT.
